I don't get how either of them are president worthy. I look at Canada's president and he looks pretty genuine (as far as politicians go anyway) and then I look at the 2 possible candidates in the US and I feel like that wall idea isn't such a bad idea. How did this happen?

The Tea Party focused so much trying to distroy Obama, they didn't realise they had no candidate. Hillary is a product of being the most popular Dem in the states. Rhetorical question I'm sure, theyll be more republican options in 4 yrs.

You're mistaking the available information with pundits.

The data showed that he was going to win. Back in April Predictwise gave him an 80% chance of winning on the first ballot.

I think you are mistaking it, not me. I'm pretty sude suveys were predicting Drumpf to never even be close to win the nomination for a long time.
Maybe you were hiding your head under a rock or something but I'm not making this up.

And yes at the end when it was obvious for Drumpf to win; the "data" showed him winning for sure (in April and so).

Same goes for now and like the nomination demonstrated, nothing is sure at all even with the "currently available data".
And looking at how things are going for Clinton lately, I do not think anything can be predictable at this point. Let's see after the debate.

By the way, I'm not a Drumpf supporter for your information (not that Clinton is really better anyway) but I would never vote for him.

You're pretty sure there were surveys? That's not really a very strong counter point.

Predictwise had Trump winning the nomination back in late February (a 54% chance of winning on 02/21/2016).

The data showed he was going to win.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Hillary or Trump lol. Must suck to know one of them is going to be your president. Trump however is mentally and emotionally handicapped in my opinion, even more so then Hillary and that is saying something....

I just dont think he can do the job. Except maybe if he would be more like the British Queen just talking and his running mate would actually make every decision and all the work.

The biggest sign that Trump is a trouble maker is that he gave Nigel Farage stage time and applauded him.

Nigel Farage is the essentially the British Trump. He dislikes foreigners, he dislikes Muslims, he has stereotypical views about different cultures and faiths and wants his country to completely isolated from the rest of the world.

The only people in history that have had views about their race, culture being superior to others have been the ones to start:

- Slavery
- Genocide
- Apartheid

Foreigners don't take jobs, they do the jobs others won't do. There is nothing stopping anyone getting the jobs the foreigners get.

Prohibiting terrorism by stopping Muslims coming in? Will you switch off the Internet? Will you stop government funded programs that have led to terrorists being created?

You think that by empowering a racist / supremacist ideology into people, it will bode well for current and feature generations?

Additionally, the man is a politician first and a Christian way further down the line.

Either way, you Americans are as screwed as it's brits. At least you get to pick between an egotistical hairy orange and the wicked witch.

We were given no choice but to have the wicked witch who has already put her plan in motion to replace the human rights act for a snooper act allowing the government to create detailed profiles on everyone which they will then sell onto various organisations.

my thougts about Trump, more or less

the world has come this far (struggling) to reduce racism, Trump being elected would be a step backwards, not just for the US

also, someone must teach Trump that Christianity is about treating people with equality and fairness, neither of which he seems to apply lol

and I also count this as a negative
http://www.breitbart.com/big-hollywood/2016/09/02/madonna-attacks-donald-trumps-sons-for-hunting-wild-leopard/

the only thing I could agree is stopping the illegal migration, because it's illegal

If that was the case then legalizing gay marriage wouldn't be so god damn hard in religious countries like Romania and Poland.

I know it was just a republican primary but trump killed it in Manhattan island, probably the densest location of well educated individuals in the world. The idea that intelligent people don't like Trump is bunk. Its what people who don't like trump tell themselves to make themselves feel like they are superior.

Also, just because you believe people should not be allowed to come into the country un-documented does not mean you hate them. Ever been to another country? Take Japan, you want to visit there you need to show up with your departure information ready to present.

You use alot of stereo types in general. Maybe Trump supporters feel the only people who support Hilary are angry minorities that feel they should have special priveledges.

I guess I am in the position where I am not attached to either side, so I don't get caught up in all the emotional BS that cause people to hate one side or the other. I don't get attached to public figures. I guess that is why I liked Romney, he was cut and dry, intelligent and did his best to stay away from emotional bs.

"Maybe Trump supporters feel the only people who support Hilary are angry minorities that feel they should have special priveledges. "

Bingo.  You see for some folks that aren't affected by racism, it doesn't exsist and minorities just want special favors. If it doesn't concern you you can pass it off as emotional BS.  It must be nice to simply dismiss the concerns of others as non important.

well, I already put more perspective in that comment when I responded to someone else.

But yes, most white people don't believe that racism is not as bad as it is cracked out to because they do not see it. I for one have not witnessed someone being racist in a long long long time. However I am in the Army (as an officer) and I might not hear what some 18 year old from Texas may be saying out of sight from officers. If someone comes forward says they have faced racial discrimination we have strict procecures to follow, I have not had this happen in 7 years.

I have had an instance where a few black females were trying to claim institutional racism. 2 black females approached me and my platoon Seargent about 6 years ago (when I was still a butter bar) and asked why none of the black females E5s were getting promoted (which was just the 2 of them). My platoon Sergeant pulled their files showed them why... one had been pregnant for almost 5 years straight (this was back when units were constantly rotating to war) and had not taken a PT test, gone to the range, and had not met a few other specific requirements for promotion, and the other was recently promoted to E5 and was not even eligible yet. In their minds this was all about racism. In fact it was not, in the one case she had made decisions that put her a position where she had not met the requirements to be promoted and the other was not even eligible.

US election:

P.s.: I cannot laugh too much. Brazil is dominated by left wing idiots and we probably won't have any good option for the next election (2018).

Trump has too small of a voter base to win anything. Yeah, he has a portion of white males, and for some reason middle aged to elderly white women but as we all know, America is made up of many different ethnicities and creeds. He doesn't have Women's vote, he doesn't have the African American vote, the doesn't have the Latino vote. Let polls be polls, when it comes down to it Trump just doesn't have the support the internet would like you to think.

I personally would have liked Sanders to run but Hillary is going to win this one by a landslide.

All polling data for months is showing us this will be a close election in general votes.  The question is how the swing states break, a few points here or there in key states could make it a tight race or a blowout.  For example if Ohio and Florida go one way or the other even if one candidate wins both by 1% it would make the race very different.

I still think Clinton will win, but I don't think it will be as easy as some seem to think.

trump up by 5 in Ohio now where he had trailed for quite a while.

Born again Christian... Lol!! This whole election makes me so glad the UK is one of the least religious developed countries!

Religion has no part in politics!

You do know that the country essentially is overlooked by the Church, Parliament and Monarchy.

There are 3 houses that sit and overlook decisions and have different levels of pull, influence and power: the Lords, the Commons and the Bishop's.

The Bishops not only have influence over the Anglican community but also the wider faiths through their strategically set up Presence and Engagement centres and forums set up with key faith leaders from other traditions and faiths.

Additionally, the Prince of Whales has the title and responsibilities of Defender of the Faiths.

Faith has a much bigger influence in Britain than you think.
