Probably NX, but i wouldn't be surprised if Playstation 5 is closer than we think
NX will use a Power8 + RX4x5 low power APU jointly developed by IBM and AMD and customised for Ninty. At least this is what a cousin of a friend of my third cousin once removed says.

They talked about the slim/pro & scorpio.
This is something else... that is also a games console :p
Its not that far fetched to think "yep this is nintendo".

I don't think so. Especially after they said they will develop some mobile games after Pokemon Go's success. I think they will take this route instead of handheld
Hopefully it's not. AMD products are terrible at power efficiency. And you badly need power efficiency hardware in a tablet.

Not if you use their technology right.
The ARM cpu's amd can make, are equal to whatever arm cpu nvidia would put in their tegra line.
GPU wise.... amd does have HSA.
Which was developed for apu & mobile chips, if nintendo code to make use of that, AMD could make a mobile chip with better power efficiency than anything nvidia has for mobile.
Do we even know if all three "semi-custom design" wins are for a game console?
http://www.techtimes.com/articles/69927/20150718/is-amd-making-the-chip-for-nintendo-nx.htm
AMD initially announced two semi-custom design wins last year (one X86 and one with ARM) but one was for *BEYOND* gaming, so that could be anything.
Then later they added another semi-custom design win, so that would be three, but one of them is not a gaming device.
To me that sounds like Scorpio, PS4 Pro, and one contract that isn't a game console.
Personally I think MS started Scorpio first, then Sony caught wind of that and made a quick move to have a PS4 Pro a year in advance. Those are the two semi-custom wins, the third one is not a game console.
Also if it was Nintendo it should be four semi-custom design wins because of the shared console-handheld setup.
Although is you are going by this on gospel, then it also means this hypothetical AMD-NX has to be using an ARM CPU, because AMD has said at least one of the design wins is using ARM, and we already know the other two (Scorpio and PS4 Pro) are X86.
