I think the Koopa's shadows might be extended to the Spike's (green thing) shadows. Since the enemies are 2D but those shadow effects are 3D... it looks like a mess

Gasp*. You are right! O.O

Now i need to re-eddit the OP.

We could also question the angle those shadows are taking. They're indoors, for christ's sake!

No wonder the Wi U is a failure.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

The lemon could look better, the shadows are awful, but the rest looks pretty good. But I have seen way better looking games on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

LOL

IGN: Paper Mario has the most realistic lemons we have ever seen.

And you don't need Ign to tell you that, use your eyes, the lemon looks gorgeous. Also what is exactly so awful about the shadows? What a random comment honestly.

I had forgotten about this game.

While this OP is clearly a joke, I will admit that the WiiU is not a technically impressive platform. We all know that. But, the art style in Nintendo games doesn't need cutting edge tech to look great. Their games look and feel playful. They're colorful, upbeat, and fun. From the little I know of this game, I'm thinking it will be a solid Nintendo game.

I tried to play Sticker Star, but I just couldn't buy into the sticker premise. I'm hoping this game will pull me in.

The shadows lack detail and 2 enemies lack a shadoe. For me the lemon lacks the intense yellow color a lemon has. Looks washed out to me, texture wis it is fin though. Besides which other game ever featured a lemon. And some characters float in mid air.

You fell for the bait. Come on, I updated the OP with one of ur previous comment. Lets just have  a bit of fun.

Looks great.
But as someone who had never played Paper Mario games before, and just started playing the N64 masterpiece recently all I can say is...WTF was Nintendo thinking with that gameplay?

No wonder the Wi U is a failure.

We have two windows so the angle of the shadows is right, but the placement is wrong look at the final two enemies in the line. The shadow is simply put between those enemies instead of each having a seperate shadow.

Well, looking out the window it looks like it's noon time, so the Sun should be straight up casting shadows slightly tilted, but directly under the characters.

But honestly, the shadows simply look bad/unfitting. I think it is because of what I said before (2D characters).

I am mostly joking

We sure need to be critical at all times no matter the artstyle;) Technically we also need to know the season for the length of the shadows. Since shadows are way longer in the winter.

Anyway who is going to care during gameplay if a shadow is exactly correct or not. Especially in a cartoony game, it is somehow funny to bitch about these things in these kind of threats.

So with every lemon attack Mario and his enemies are beamed onto a kitchen table and after the attack they are beamed back? Immersion-breaking! ;)

But if life give you lemons, squirt everywhere.
