Huh, your right.
All they talked about was 4k Netflix and Youtube.

McDonald's Big Mac Ps4 Pro Skin incoming.
| melbye said: The Pro doesn't need to exist. They should have just scrapped it and next E3 sweep the feet under MS and announced the PS5 for 2018 |
Why would they cut an incredibly successful console's life short?

| Hynad said: That was rather underwhelming. The fact that they didn't mention the specs at all is a clear sign that they didn't adjust anything about the PS4 Pro after MS announced its 6TF project Scorpio. They didn't mention the specs, so it's pretty obvious they don't match. Otherwise they would have boasted about them. |
Well yeah, it's $399 and comes out a year earlier. I think Scorpio will come out too late to make a difference to anything

Probably devs will just add supersampling or 4k resolution patch for their games. It is the easiest more lazy way to do it. |
If it works then it's a winner in my book.
That was boring and sort of underwhelming. Sure it got the point across but they could have easily just issued a press release instead of having a whole event to just say "There's a slim, and then there's a new upgraded model".
I would have felt different had they shown any new games but they didn't. I really wanted there to be a big new game reveal at the end to show the power of the PS4 Pro. I know the conference wasn't about showing new game, I get that, but still.
the Mass Effect clip was... meh.
Besides platforming, the game looks just like a cleaner version of Dragon Age Inquisition (unless you played it on PC, in which case it looks no better).
That presentation was really dry, but I think that's the best thing they could of done. It was a simple announcement, there is no way anyone doesn't understand what this about. It's a big change, so for Sony to hit this crystal clear is far more important in the long run than doing a flash E3 type of show.
And HDR for everyone is great.
I think it's a very ugly console however I like the idea. Overall, a disappointing conference/meeting.
That was... kind of boring.
Sony's presenters really lack charisma. It's something that I've noticed at E3 and conferences in general.
The Slim is fine. Expected. For me, I'm more interested in whether or not this causes the OG model to drop in price.
Not much was said about VR really, which is puzzling this close to launch. I think they still have a ways to go in marketing that, and this seems like a wasted opportunity.
The Pro was... ok. I think the adoption rate is something like 10-15% right now. So if you're one of those people, and you also have a PS4, great. Based on the conference, it doesn't seem worthwhile if you don't have a 4K TV.
The games they showed were kind of meh. It would have made for a much more interesting presentation if they at least showed some combat for Mass Effect, or new footage from Spiderman and so on.
What they said was fine, but it just doesn't seem like they needed a whole event for it. I feel like this could have been part of their E3 conference. The pro itself is fine, but it's not really anything revolutionary. It's good to have the option for those who can take advantage of it, but it's not going to really change the game.
