Its a cash cow, where in Nintendo can coin and dime people into DLC without nearly as much hate for it.
Infact people gladly pay way more, because they get a figurine as well.

Theres no way its going away. Amiibos are here to stay as much I as dislike it, same with all DLC.

I want Nintendo to make Emiibos. Digital Amiibos that are stored on your account. This way your amiibo collection is always with you and you can just select your emiibo from your collection to use its effects. Much more efficient than regular Amiibos.

Agreed. Unless the amiibo support for Zelda U is only for the Wii U version, there's def gonna be amiibo support on the NX. Maybe this time there will be a legit Amiibo focused game...

Well, people often buy the amiibo for the figurine and not the extra addon. It's usually the other way around.
