Agreed, I tend to find his posts and tone consistently passive aggressive towards Xbox and Microsoft. It would be interesting to know why he and other posters on this site are so afraid and hateful towards the big MS.. And why is it so important to them.

I'd like to know this too, especially as Xbox users are so open-minded and fair

Well I'll be darned, it looks like recent trailers and coverage and info about Color Splash have helped it a bit. Might be a modest success after all. We'll see.

I think I may have seen this wrong. I'd always assumed the PS4 Pro was for the 'educated gamers' market and that your average Joe would likely still plump for the PS4slim (at least to begin with) but the more I note that gap between the Pro and the Slim, the more I'm starting to wonder whether news of the PS4 pro has already filtered through to the mainstream market. This is a little premature because we still haven't had the PS4slim bundles but it's going to be interesting to see just how the Pro performs once the OG PS4 is out of the way, the PS4 slim is marketted more heavily and the PS4pro is actually released.

I see what I see and will never pretend I see something I don't. Of course that doesn't mean my eyes can't deceive me. If I'm wrong, I'll be the first to tell you that.

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

I think it's more the power of the name.  "Pro" is a very positive term in terms of connotation.  I mean, if you are looking at getting a PS4, do you get the normal one, the slim, or the Pro?  The very term Pro makes it more appealing.

Now Christmas, we might see a shift as your grandmas and soccer moms who aren't at all informed just look for the deals rather than the superior product come out to shop.

It's apt you should say that. I've been giving that a lot of thought sinse the name was announced and I do think it has something to do with it.

Of course it has something to do with it :P .  Nothing is every by accident, there's always an angle with this sorts of things.  Whether it's naming consoles or arranging what cereals go on what shelf levels in Walmart, there's always a marketing angle to any decision involving displays, names, signs, and aesthetics.  Neo might sound cool, but the term Pro is a more commonly recognized connotatively positive term.  Hence the choice.

Agreed. Just like a supermarket will put what they want you to buy at eye level or put sweets at the checkouts.

The Xbox One S Halo bundle would be in the top 20's right now if it weren't out of stock. Gribble, you are kind of overdramatic when it comes to the XB1 doing "bad". The 2TB has been hovering around the 80's for awhile and the Madden bundle is more niche than a mainline bundle, having only done 16k in launch week, so that won't sell big. The Halo bundle was the main target for this deal and it seems to have worked in getting rid of stock since it doesn't look like it will get more.

Looking at the hourly's and saying the brand is "not looking good" without the context that the main bundle is out of stock is weird.

Nah! Gribble is just wise beyond his years, I would go as far as s...

What?

He's how old?

...Gribble is almost as wise as his age!

Seriously though, Gribble talks a lot of sense while others get way to excited and start blabbing out unrealistic expectation.

Oh it's even better than that.  They'll things on th eye level of the groups they want to buy it.  Rice Crispy Treats is almost always a little lower than, say, raisan bran.  Cause they want the kid tugging at your sleeve to see the former and the 40 year old with heart trouble to see the latter.   It's all a rather elaborate system really.
