Well since you must know who said GT would sell 200-250k in Japan I shall tell you.. leo-j... the same person predicting 200000 ps3s sold in europe next week. 100-120k for PS3 90-110k for Wii.



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

I think that with all the great software the PS3 is seeing between now and the holiday season i would expect it to keep above 70,000 weekly for the rest of the year untill then! But you never know :D

The ps3 should be around 150k next week in OTHERS, then drop to 120k, hold 120k the following week, and then settle around 90k until GTA 4, then it should rise to 130k, and so on.

I wonder what game released this year will see the biggest rise in Hardware sales in Others? GTA4? MGS4? Resistance 2? LBP? etc etc

I think that GT will boost PS3 some, so these 100k should remain stable for next week. Then it will return to its Pre- holiday high.

But still, 100k is very impressive. I think you guys are just attributing it to the wrong source.

If you guys did not notice the Wii also say a big boost- what is coming out for Wii this week in others? right... nothing.
 PS3 selling close to 100k in Japan is amazing, the thing barely sells there.
