I know the IP needs someone more than S-E to make it interesting again though. Not sure who could do that really.

Oh, and I was thinking about it and a Retro Castlevania would also be dope.

Imho SE/Bandai Namco are the only third party capable of handling the IP, maybe CD Projekt Red but I prefer the first two...

I think if Nintendo were to purchase Castlevania they'd let work on it either Retro or Inteligent Systems (don't know why but I feel like they could make a really good Castlevania game)

With both of those companies I don't really see it progressing though. They need someone who can bring something to the series and not just "handle  it". As I said before though, not entirely sure who'd be up for the task. Suda 51?.... Maybe, but that doesn't feel like a perfect fit either....

I just don't know...

I think the only real contenders (companies that could ACTUALLY afford it) are the Big 3 and Square.

I don't believe Microsoft has a shot at it (likely due to xenophobia)

Nintendo could get away with it, but they would let more mature IPs like Metal Gear die out. We could, however, expect to see new Suikoden titles. (Or Fire Emblem X Suikoden, or Suikoden characters in Smash...)

Square could definitely pull it off.

Sony seems like they're already partway there, what with their Kojima partnership.

I think they could give MGS to Retro, I'd be interested in seeing that.

I go with Bandai Namco, too.

It is interesting that despite the fact that Tagged game is DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION, no one talked about Bemani even once.
