For me - it has to be Mystical Ninja. Such a wacky, memorable game so far ahead of its time. Konami had to order special carts with extra storage for all the incredible music and the huge open world.
Konami has many sins, but abandoning Mystical Ninja IP is one of their most severe in my book.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
Definitely going to be the odd man out here but I'm partial to the n64 quake games
Star Wars Rogue Squadron was the best in my opinion because it has aged far better than the other games on the list.
The Tony Hawk games are still okay but the first and second game are far better on Dreamcast and you should only be playing the third one on a 6th gen console.
Turok was okay for it's time but doesn't stand the test of time well. It's the same thing with Turok 2, although that game was a technical masterpiece on the N64. It looked like a PC game.
Resident Evil 2 was another technical masterpiece by the fact that it could be done in the first place. Despite the minor compression that had to be done with the cutscenes and sound, the in-game graphics were improved. Still, it isn't the definitive version of RE2 and RE2 isn't as much fun today as it was back then.
The N64 wrestling games were great but like many other sports games and shooter games, so much has been done over the years to the point where there's almost no pint in playing the older games.
Rayman 2 is still good, although not my personal favorite.

If it is a N64 wrestling game, No Mercy should be on the list of potential options. Revenge is good but that was the apex of the brief Golden age of wrestling video games that were spawned on the N64.
Personally my two favorites are Bomberman 64 and Winback, with the underrated puzzle classic Wetrix not far behind before the RE2 port, Ray man 2, Ogre Battle 64 and Rogue Squadron.
Although I don't know if it would count, but Rare supposedly published Conker's Bad Fur Day, so that by itself makes it the best third party game on the N64.
Well best is subjective.
N64 to this day is my favourite console of all time.
Turok series had to be one of the best that generation followed by Star Wars Rogue Squadron. Its crazy that Nintendos 1st party lineup on the N64 (Including Rare games) still eclipses anything iv seen today.
IMO Turok/Turok2. I played RE2 on PS1, otherwise that would be obvious choice.
Tough call. I loved Snowboard Kids 2. But Rogue Squadron was a really awesome game. I guess my vote would be for Hydro Thunder. That game was my jam! Plus it played great and 2 players were great once you got the RAM pack.

That's tough. So many great N64 games were published by Nintendo.
I guess I'll go with Rayman 2.
