Forums - Sony - Future of crash bandicoot?

Ok so we know the ps4 is getting a trilogy remaster built from the ground up.  But what would be smart to do after it?

IMO a ground up remaster of crash team racing with online to release in 2018.

Then in 2019 a crash bandicoot 4.

2020 a crash team racing 2.

That's what I'd do if I was Sony and Activision.  And if you could somehow get naughty Gods to develop crash 4 then even better.

Hopefully the trilogy will sell well to show that there is interest for a new Crash game.

Sounds like a good plan. I tend to doubt that ND would be involved in any capacity in a theoretical Crash 4, but it's a fun idea. Not a huge fan, but I played and liked Crash 1 and 2. I was just thinking about how impressed I was with the first Crash on a technical level when I first played it. A high water mark in graphics for the PS1 at the time.

All I want is crash team racing 2, aftet that they can forget crash again.

I will definitely buy the reasmter of the trilogy. Hopefully it sells well and Crash rises from his grave!

I really hope so, Crash Team Racing is my favourite game, and I would absolutely adore a remake of it. My biggest worry is them screwing up the physics. I imagine it would drive like Mario Kart if remade, rather then maintaining the physics of the original. Which unlike Mario Kart were floaty, turned tighter and had little momentum.

I mean there's nothing wrong at all with Mario Karts physics, but we already have Mario Kart for that. I just hope if they do remake it, it doesn't just feel like Mario Kart with a Crash skin.

Sony should take a page outta Mario Karts book, and make a new "Crash team Raceing" game that aims to be like Mario Kart 8.

I will buy the Crash Trilogy Remaster, but I don't think the franchise has a bright future. It really wasn't very good after the PS1 era. And making a new Crash in the style of the old PS1 games wont really get the attention of newer gamers I think.

I like the plan, but dunno how likely or financially sound it would be.
