Only fact that I said is a fact is that Nintendo wants unified platform and going with two different architecture with unified platform doesn't make any sense.

Well, most mobile games work the same on different ARM-SoCs (Tegra, Snapdragon, Exynos, Kirin, Mediatek, OMAP, Apple A5/6/7/8/9...) and on different graphic cores (Adreno, Geforce Tegra, Mali, SGX...), so it ain't impossible if some NX-versions would come with AMD-ARM-SoCs.

The big question is: can AMD offer ARM-SoCs that are as efficient as the best other SoCs of the competition? If Nintendo wants a device, which is both powerful and mobile, it has to be energy efficient. If AMD can't deliver that (yet), it doesn't matter how good the relations between Nintendo and AMD are.

It's the same as the PS4 and Xbox One: Sony and Microsoft wanted a x86-APU and Nvidia can't deliver that due to the lack of a x86-license. So they were automatically out of the race.

Why would he apologies? No where did he say its fact, simply that all credible sources and evidence point towards Nvidia. This thread shouldn't even exist because there are no actual sources claiming AMD is the chip provider. Zero. You have two articles (from obscure tech websites) assuming that Nintendo is one of AMD's wins (as we all did earlier in the year), they don't claim to have any insider knowledge or sources on the matter.

Lol, why I would apology!? I didn't wrote EG article and I didnt confirmed their story, I just brining obvious things here that people from some reason don't see or dont want to see.

We talked about possibility that Nintendo go with Nvidia for handheld and AMD for home console, something like that doesnt make any sense when Nintendo wants unifed platform.

Of Course that AMD could make ARM with their graphic, but hardly so much efficient like X1 or X2 are. All infos points Nintendo made deal with Nvidia, and apparently Nintendo made very good deal.

BREAKING NEWS!!! Eurogamer are the ones developping & manufacturing the NX, they are the ones calling the shots it seems!!! Everything they write is set in stone... stone, no steel, what am I saying, Adamantium!!!*

It's called abstraction.
Nintendo will likely utilise it's own more optimised abstraction layer (Plus+Vulkan/OpenGL modified as the high-level API) in combination with a modified OS which could potentially ruin such a degree of compatability.

Keep in mind though, that despite ARM's large amount of developer support... It does miss out on a myriad of high-end game engines, games and technology.
