Forums - Nintendo - Bethesda Doesn't Rule Out Nintendo NX Support, But "It's Too Early to Say"

Fallout 4 looks and feels like a early 7th gen game so NX should have no issues running it, but knowing Bethesda they would fuck it up somehow so no thank you

Fallout 4 looked like crap in PS4. Even in PCs (before mods) it looks meh. Yet; yet; it made $750 million in launch day. People wants to play it regardless of quality. Its existence alone makes a landmark.

Go back and play an open world game circa 2007.  Fallout 4 looks like a late 7/early 8th gen game.  It looks nothing like, say, Oblivion

Home Alone (NES) - Developed

Oh I'm sorry, I should have specified 1) home consoles and 2) support that means something (Wheelspin? xD) :P

But I did specify post NES.

Meh. I thought the sequel, which came out on the 3DS, was much better.

As if any of their games would sell decent on a Nintendo platform

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

It's probably because NX is like a souped up PS3/Wii U in terms of horsepower. That's basically what the Tegra X1 is.

Developers are going to have to decide whether or not they want to do the work at that low of a power envelope.

Some devs will say yes, others will say no.

From the sounds of it, NX is something like double a PS3/360 in raw power probably with a lot more RAM and a much more modern architecture.

So PS4/XB1 ports are probably possible if assets/resolution are scaled back (same way Far Cry 4 and MGSV are able to run on PS3/360).

Anyone surprised about this polite no?

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Too early to say when it releases in 7 months = no, but just in case it sells a bazillion units, we won't slam the door completely shut.

I'm not sure if you're joking with this or not but Skyrim could hardly run on the PS3 and Fallout 4 had its last gen versions cancelled, thankfully, because there is no way in hell they had enough RAM.  It's a big open world with an absolutely massive number of objects.

Why do companies even bother making these statements lol

Must be a slow news day.

maybe the real question is why do people bother asking these questions in the first place? the answer is gonna be the same
