I recounted, the PS3 had several weeks here and there of about 190k, so maybe you were counting those Leo-j, and missed one Wii week the first time. It is hard to see them when they are all crunched up on the graph.

Let us talk again after the release of games like MGS4, GTA 4, FFXIII, VS XIII shall we?

The biggest Wii game for years probably is just released in America and considering that every Wii gamer was going to buy this game, it could have done a lot better. And why didn't Smash had better debut? Because about 50% of the Wii owners aren't "gamers"

so let me get this straight... unless MGS4 sells 6 million in its first two week than 50% of the PS3 owners bought their PS3s for blu-ray right? You have to remember that casuals will wait until birthday or cmas or til they have money or whatever to pick up a new game... they just dont buy a new game every 2 weeks. Maybe 3-4 games a year. I actually complemented the PS3, and you guy still get so defensive. I SAID IT IS GOING TO DO BETTER! AND IS DOING BETTER! maybe I should bold that in the original post...

you actually think Brawl sold bad???, huh??, It had the biggest nintendo release ever, have you seen japanese numbers? those legs are insane what are you talking about???

 Well, to be fair, Leo-J didn't actually attack you.  HE at least, only pointed out a small fact that he thought was in error.

 

 @Akuma and Jandre: Seriously, guys, wtf?  He stated plainly and simply that he was commenting on the Wii's success in console sales, and not dissing the PS3.  It was you, Akuma, who even brought up game sales (which have absolutely nothing to do with the topic).   This is a sales forum, he made a comment about sales.  Also, about the point you brought up, it's done this well WITHOUT that third-party support you say is missing, you'll be quaking in your little boots when you see its' numbers this year, with fantastic support.

@Kingsora: Actually, Smash had the biggest launch of any Nintendo first-party game in their entire history, and it's having great legs.  But you knew that, right?  And having admitted that, you admit that you pulled the '50%' out of your ass, right?

@bigjon; I agree that the attacks were uncalled for (seriously guys), but don't pretend you're giving the PS3 any credit, seems more like an attempt at disarming it yet again. Analysis is fine, but these PS3 vs Wii ones are getting worn even though many users like to read them and mull over it.
Credit is due where credit is due, but this is not credit, it is showing a huge brandname in a weakened state and playing upon stereotypes concerning fans from both sides.

On topic; I'm not sure what to make of this comparison, but I'm not in the least surprised that the Wii has had a heap more good sales weeks than the PS3, no one should be at this time. Why tell something so obvious? I tell you; sometimes it seems that the hardest Wii fans just love to look at Wii sales numbers and laugh at the competition all day long.
Making threads to compare sales is fine, making basically the same thread over and over again to shout out the same numbers every week is... redundant.
I don't mean to come off as a fanboy, I'm just curious as to why you won't use your skills and time to create more varied content, I find most your threads rather interesting to be honest!
