Forums - Sony - So is safe to say Rime and Deep Down are dead?

There was just a thread about how RIME is still under development with a new publisher backing.

Deep down looked sweet! I think it's still on the table, possibly just put on hold while Capcom tries to generate profit from some less risky titles.

Deep Down isnt dead yet, wait for the Neo

If we are to belive rumors, Rime is vaporware. It never existed. So, yes, its safe to say it won't exist in the form seen in that trailer.

Deep down is probably getting reworked

This. I doubt we'll ever see any more of Rime (shame, cuz the concept was beautiful), but I do believe Deep Down is being revamped and we'll see it again before long (maybe even TGS). Who knows what it'll look like if and when it's rerevealed.

I'd find it weird if deep down died out. I demoed it a few years ago and it played pretty great, and had English too. I wonder what ever happened to that game...

I think they've decided not to go F2P. As a F2P game, I can't see it holding the interest of people beyond just trying it out or playing it when bored, meaning not spending money on it.

I hope when they do show it off, it will be a full on action rpg like DD or Dark Souls.

Duke Nuke 'Em Forever? There's always hope...

I hate when games like this go silent.
The lack of communications is really a lack of respects toward players.

There was so many games that disappeared like this...

Rime is supposedly still in development... Deep Down is doing its namesake on Capcom hard drive somewhere. Probably sharing a folder with Mega Man 11.

Deep Down looked too decent of an experience (from the live demos) to be dead. At worst they would have just shat it out and tried to recoup some money. I think they're just heavily changing it.

No, it probably isn't safe to say that.

Deep down i have a feeling their cancelled.
