I'm not gonna go into a bitching match with anyone here... but the ps3 was outselling the 360 for a while. then the supply gets replenished and its neck and neck now... with boosts recieved for those games it may gain NA this year... now if he means total NA sales i doubtt that

Honestly not everyone can afford a $400 dollar gaming console.

 Yeah, that's true. Still, the arcade is now 200€ in europe yet it ain't igniting sales anywhere. I think that statement is a remain of the early wii success when everyone and his mother was saying it was just because of the price. History has shown that if a market doesnt want a console at 400$, it won't want it at 200$.

Do you really expect to see Final Fantasy 13 in stores this year?...  And didn't they say not to expect Gran Turismo 5 until next year?  This is living?  More like this is waiting is you ask me...  I'm sure everyone is waiting for Killzone 2, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Killzone 1...  It's great though that Sony is bringing out some first person shooters, there has been a real drought in that genre for the past two years.

very good games but nothing as important regarding sales as Brawl, Halo, GT5, final fantasy, mario, dragon quest...

the biggest game is GTA4 but it is multiplataform. Really want to see is online exclusive episodes makes any difference

Consoles always see a boost in holiday periods although I'm surprised the 360 and PS3 went so high.

PS3 is in good shape in Eu/Others, but is left wanting in NA and especially Japan.
GTA IV will do little to nothing to remedy the situation in Japan but should give a slight boost in NA (allthough the 360 will get the biggest NA boost from GTA IV imo).
We should see decent NA sales and excellent Eu/Others sales this year, but I can't see much short of White Knight Chronicles to shoot Japan numbers upwards.

Gears of War 2 is going to be huge for Microsoft.

Just my view but in Europe I think only GTA and (maybe) GOW2 has a chance of shifting consoles out of that lot.  Given 360 sales on back of GOW then the Halo 3 boost I think most people in Europe who would want those games will already have a 360.

It's a great lineup for existing owners, and I could of course be wrong ... but like I say only GTA really looks like getting new owners (over and above the baseline sales) for the console.

Due to where PS3 is in its lifecycle in Europe (entering 2 year vs where 360 is) the general feeling is that the big games this year have a larger potential base to reach out to and are therefore more likely to generate better console spikes (this is my view anyway).

Some of those I'm sure will be from existing 360 owners as most I know are happy to have both and they don't seem to have any particular anti-PS3 view : 360 was just out first and had great games so they bought it, now that PS3 is picking up they'll buy that too.
