I hated Rico in the Killzone 3. He kept screwing everything up story-wise but, even worse, he kept charging AHEAD OF ME. I hate that so much. I'm the one in command, I make the damn decisions! It was like dealing with a child while you're trying to get something done.

After being amazingly dumb in the end of KZ2, it was expected to see him doing stupid stuff. But I liked to shot him with the big machine guns with infinite ammo since he would go down and beg to be rescued while I myself was shooting him non stop.

I would also say that Peppey and Falco deserve it in SF. The first one for being useless and always in need of rescue (how in hell he got in the damn squad) and Falco just for being an a***hole and talk about how Fox's father was better than him, while he also needed rescue all the time.

Skyrim followers. Everytime they are on the way, they get lost and so on.

Ashley on RE4.

Oh, yeah, and Dogmeat from Fallout 4. Again, he keeps RUNNING AHEAD of me when I'm trying to be cautious. He fucking opens doors--how, I don't know--alerting the bad guys inside. He also blocks entrance ways constantly. I switch him out as soon as I can.

YES! I'm trying to plan my attack and the stupid dog says "Nope, you're fighting NOW!"

I thought Navi from Zelda OOT would be the answer by popular consensus. But as long as it did not interfere in gameplay then it's all right i guess.

Fi is way worst than Navi.

I really, reeeeeally hated Yorda from Ico. I missed out on the PS2 so I was psyched when ICO came out for the PS3. I saved the game until I could spend some time and "immerse myself in the experience of ICO," but when I started to play the game, she was unbelievably annoying, helpless, useless, and a complete detriment to literally everything I tried to do. I wish those stupid demon things would've just taken her and I'd go about my business running around and solving puzzles.

I hate you Yorda.

You heartless ... You get your wish later on in the game. She is part of the puzzles!

At least Yorda doesn't actively run into trouble like about any other escort mission I have ever played, or dance around you like Ellie, or teleport around like Elizabeth. Don't think I don't notice you immersion breaking re-appearing behind me antics or infinite supply of ammo you'll only offer up sparringly.

I was actually gonna mention that stuff that happens to her later on in the game, but I didn't wanna spoil it for anyone :D During that scene I had some real Schadenfreude going on there.

But yes, there are other worse companions out there I'm sure, but every time I'd tell her to do something and she'd chicken out, it drove me up the wall. What I wouldn't give for Yorda to teleport around me and bring me some ammo once in awhile!

I don't recall Falco ever saying that.

I didn't find a screenshot, but I remeber him saying all the time when he was getting whooped: "You father would've helped me!". But it was Peppy that had a damn obsession with his father. Slippy was just dumb.

What game was this in? Cos as someone who's played a lot of Starfox, I honestly don't remember Falco ever making such a harsh comment.

Peppy says "your father helped me like that too" when you save him in Starfox 64, sure you're not thinking of that?

I don't remember if it was on 64 or Assault. I can't find a screenshot, but I'm pretty sure he said that ocasionally.

As someone who's played 64 for probably 200 hours, I can say for 99.9% sure it's not in that.

Been about 6 years since I've played Assault, so I can't say for sure, but I certainly don't remember it there.
