20+ percent because of a free to play smartphone title??? well... let's see if these go players microtransact on a regular basis because if they don't this will turn into a flash in the pan quickly.

It's quite remarkable how Nintendo can keep generating great revenue, even when their mainline console isn't selling so well. It only increases their exposure towards their potential market and makes the success of the NX even more likely.

I think in Australia the number one option is the .99 purchase of in game currency suggesting that a lot of people are buying small and not just a few whales spending a shitload.  Who knows if this will continue in the future though.

Definitely the biggest mobile game since Angry Birds/Candy Crush. Nintendo did really well here with being innovative with the mobile camera and GPS.

You mean they did really well asking a 3rd party to reskin their game "Ingress" with Pokemon. :)

Just shows how important IP is, game few people heard about is now making billions cos they put pokemon in it.

You mean this game engine was already built for them? So less dev money spent?

Very impressive Nintendo!

Nintendo actually owns a stake in Niantic.

WOOH!!! I have a little bit of Nintendo stock available. Now I'm slighly more $$$

Also its up 35% on the american markets: https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/q?s=NTDOY

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I think its only "officially" available in Australia, New Zealand and in the US.

I finally convinced my father to invest on Nintendo's stock so we should be able to capitalize on the growth given by the release in Europe and other countries...

Did you buy the stock today? If so, you made a mistake. Stocks almost always drop severaly % when they see huge spikes like this. It'll probably be down 5+% tomorrow.
