Forums - Gaming - Activision takes down Indie game after developer steals CoD assets (also stole Overwatch, Disney assets)

See for yourself:

On the left just look at both the gun's rails and compare the details. It's a 1-on-1 copy, the only difference between the texture. All the details are exactly the same. Nothing suspicious going on here:

And now tell me what this reminds you of:

Yeah, that definitely is not Kylo Ren's mask, not at all... And this definitely is not Boba Fett:

Oh, but stealing from Activision (Call of Duty) and Disney (Star Wars) isn't enough? Fuck it, they ripped off Blizzard (Overwatch) as well: Here's a copy from Genji's mask!

Also stole some Natural Selection 2 assets:

Around the Network

I don't get it. The masks look nothing alike...

EDIT: OH wait...are these three masks from the game?

I was about to say the weapon could looks similar to M8A7 because it's modeled after a real weapon that looks like that... but it seems the weapon doesn't actually exist! So yeah, it's pretty obvious. Also, the Natural Selection thing is just obvious too. There's just no way you could come up with something so similar by chance. Even the texture is mostly the same!

The dev can consider themselves lucky they didn't get sued or something.

EDIT: Although it's possible the dev just modelled and even textured everything after the originals instead of blatantly stealing them. I guess that wouldn't be bad, although it is a bit on the gray area. But I suppose that from a legal point of view, there's nothing wrong with it.

Maybe they were paid off by ViVindi to take down Disney, Blizzard, and Activision.

Good thing by Activision!
