Hope they have some fun things to do as well, not just low prices. Like the 2015 summer sale.

Nope, just boring good prices all week long. No daily deals.

I just managed to get into the Store.... Honestly, I think Steam is starting to sort of lose their mojo when it comes the sales. The prices don't seem as good as before (but certainly still good), and they don't have the fun extra activites and stuff like they used to :-/

Meanwhile i'm sitting here with a gaming PC...

The thing is, Valve aren't the ones forcing those prices, it;s the devs who are the ones to decide those prices, that's why you see Activision slightly lowering their CoD prices but refusing to lower them to dirt cheap prices. For years I've watched Activision sales and in comparison they look to be the tightest devs I've ever seen out there, even compared to EA.

OT: Steam sales for the past year and a half haven't been all that great for me, without daily or flash sales I find myself actually saving more money than previous years where I'd spend more than £100 on tons of games. I find the refunds system to be a bit of an issue with those two sale types being removed and devs in general wanting that bit more money rather than more custoemrs at a given time. I'm likely to find a much better deal with Humble bundle and GMG/GoG these days.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

The only game I feel like getting is Tales of Symphonia for 7 €

Steam is pretty much unusable right now, but yay!

Indeed.

One would assume that Valve would work to have their store ready for the sales, but time after time we get prove of the opposite.

Man, these Steam sales are definitely not the same now that flash sales and daily deals are gone. I miss my 75% discounts =/

I miss them too. I blame those that abused the refunds system during the sales.

Could you explain?

Stardew Valley looks fun. Only 20% off but tempting.

Yeah I guess you're right, but the sales still don't seem as great as they used to be :-/

But Stardew Valley is on sale (though only 20% off)! I've been meaning to get it have had it wishlisted for a while. Should I go for it now, or wait til I can get it cheaper?

That feel when there's a Steam Sale and you're broke...

Could you explain?

Sure.

Here's an example: First day of sales, you see Skyrim at 50% off and buy it right away because you've been eagerly awaiting to get that game. Two days later, Skyrim goes on a flash sale and reaches a 75% off. What will you do?

Good human being: "F*ck! If I had waited a bit longer, I could have gotten the day a lot cheaper. Oh, well. That will teach me to not hurry and buy right away."

Scumbag: "F*ck! Oh, well. I refund the game back and then re-buy the game again for less taking advantage of its current lower price."

And that's how we ended without flash sales.

Please excuse my bad English.

Wow. I'm stunned.

Of course that's what has happened. I never liked the refund system because it screws up reviews and other data, plus the scumbags that on purpose buy a game, give bad review and then refund. But now, when you say that it ruined the flash sales, damn, I'm so sad they had to introduce refunds (because of some international law I presume. Please don't tell me it was the EU.).

"F*ck! Oh, well. I refund the game and re-buy the game again".
