Don't get me wrong man, I would also love a new LoD. You fight for LoD, while I fight for DC3, that way hopefully both of them will come true. Gotta divide the work

In the end, only I stand... XS
It's lonely here... but it's for LoD!

Hey, if I don't fight for DC3, no one else will XS

I've not played a jrpg in years... I blame me being really crap at them and not having the patience, but the one I did play back on the PS2 and really enjoyed was Shadow Hearts (I think). It had this thing called a judgement wheel or something. It was pretty awesome and the wheel added some sense of control to the hit and miss when doing attacks. It doesn't make sense when you are shooting at a 100ft tall and 30ft wide enemy and you miss.

Shadow Hearts battle system has a close tune for The Legend of Dragoon battle system.
The addition system on LoD had the same concept, but not on a wheel, each individual attack had to be manually connected on a similar way (it was matching square sizes at the right time on LoD) so each hit would connect and the combo could be made, each combo having it's own hitting pattern, and also enemies could counter attack on every point on your combo aside from the first hit connection so you had to always be paying attention to prevent their counters (normal hits were X, counters were O).

Sounds like a better system than Shadow Hearts. In that case Pervy Sensei, I must go with LoD.

A AAA Legend of Dragoon followup would be amazing. Regardless, let's be grateful for games like FFXV, Persona 5, and Ni No Kuni 2.

That's not true XP

Fine, I'll fight for both then XP

Speaking of which I haven't replayed DC and LoD this year yet, I gotta change that.

Haven't played LoD this year too XP

I usually do it in summer, but this summer has been a little busier than usual so I haven't had the chance xP

Legend of dragoon, of course!

It has to be action combat mechanics, I'm done with Turn-based, too boring, repetitive and unchallenging. And it has to be at least close to the level of Souls/Dragon's Dogma/Horizon(it seems great at least), I may have been able to play Skyrim back when it released if it had The Witcher 3 combat, but after Demons' Souls and Dragon's Dogma I couldn't play a mediocre combat system like that, so I couldn't finish The Witcher 3.

On the other hand since I played the newer XCOMs I've been wanting an SRPG that plays like that, so that would do it too.

We know that there are many rumors going around about a big jrpg project from sony (still a rumor, but tgs could be the big reveal) that should at the level of ff...but if true or not, what are your wishes or hopes for this game? In what direction should it go? Amazing visuals more important, than a deep story? A complete new ip or the often wished sequel of legend of dragoon?

There is no Sony JRPG, especially not on "FF level". Shu discredited the rumor himself, usually he keeps silent or teases about things like that if there is some truth to it.

Not surprising tho, Verendus the source of this rumor is full of BS and people like you who don't know better have been fooled by his lies for how long, 3-4 years by now?

And yeah if nothing happens it's easy afterwards to claim "plans change, it didn't pan out, but I swear it was true!". I can say Nintendo is making a Zekda x F-Zero crossover today and return in 2019 to say they cancelled the project.

Well

Wild arms
Legend of Legaia
Legend of dragon
Arc of lad
Final Fantasy Tactics (lions war)
Dark Cloud

In other notes

Skies of arcadia and Grandia IV please!!
