Forums - Sony - Monster Hunting Ban Lifted!

wow, those are some great sales. Sony and Capcom must be pleased.

What sells more on the first week, Monster Hunter or Pokemon????
I'm too sleepy to check. Anyone know right off the bat?

thanks!

in japan it's normal to wear such a mask, if you have a cold

That's nice.  Here people will just cough all over you if they have a cold. :|

also, many japanese ppl have hay fever (Allergy to flower' pollens, they have pollens information in weather report), it's very common to see ppl wear mask in spring.

is that one guy in the waiting line playing a DS?

No. He is holding a pencil.

kber81: are you watching? Be prepared to lose...

But you have a small chance: The PS2 versions sold worse than the handheld ones.

Btw. great pics. we have that with big rockconcert tickets. Not this crazy though.

Is there any stake in your bet?

Holy Hell thats insane

I am still skeptical about whether MH3 will be as successful as MHP2/2G. Only if Capcom could manage to deliver an unique experience on the Wii which cannot be done on the PSP. 8 person online co-op? Only time will tell.

@stclam,
What do you think?
I personally think the charm of MHP2 is that gamers can get together and play it face to face with friends (sometimes strangers, LOL). Maybe this game is meant to be built for handhelds.

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

Monster Hunter wasn't that Big on PS2 (it sold 0.6M, not a good number if you compare it to others CAPCOM game )

And i think that's the reason why Wii was chosen over PS3, because MH on PS3 requires much higher production cost, and MH is not popular outside Japan. MH3 on PS3 has a risk

But i wont be surprised if MH3 will hit jackpot on Wii, it can provide co-op play functions which are impossible on PS2 (as most PS2 owner never conneced their machine to internet)

If i were CAPCOM i will

1) let them transfer the save file from PSP  to Wii (From Memory Stick to SD-Card), it certainly attract most MH2 player to MH3

2) let them upgrade their Armour/Weapons by wii points

* looks at his bet with alien_hunter *

Whooooppsss!

Lol, you are pwned, I would bet around 600K, giving its popularity and the bundle.

hunter_alien knows his PSP, I would advise to NOT bet against him.
