Double post.
A plan without proper execution is meaningless. They tried with Xbox One to implement DRM only future. Despite having good plans it failed. If they wants to blur generations then they need good plan and execution. From what we have seen they are not sure themselves what to do as their executives keeps saying different things in a Sh artery period of time.
I rather each new generation going forwards be 100% backwards compatabile with the last gen, but each new gen, has its own games exclusive to it.
So they can "push" the limits of that hardware, without worrying about getting it to also run on the past gens stuff.

I agree. The forward compatibility will also lead to less of the (from many hated) remasters. They aren't really needed, if the original PS4 or XBO version runs better on a PS4.5, PS5.0, PS5.5... or Xbox 1.5, 2.0, 2.5.
The excess of Remasters on PS4 + XBO is mainly due to a transition period to x86. If they keep that architecture for future Xbox- and PS-iterations, the old versions will run just fine on newer/faster iterations.
Of course that doesn't mean that there will be NO remasters in the future, but the publishers/developers will have to put more effort in them to get people exited enough to double dip. Perhaps the old versions will be upgradable with high-res-texture DLCs or something similar.
Generations needed to die long ago, and I am so happy to see both Sony and Microsoft making the proper moves to ensure the health of gaming platforms going forward.
If we were not locked into the rediculos generational cycle, Vita could still be alive and kicking as a much slimmer handheld/phone, with much better tech. This would be a god send for gamers, as the current iPhone/Android market is a joke in this department.
By moving in this direction, PlayStation and Xbox can stay freash, and build a stronger consumer base than any stand alone generation ever has. This will be the best thng to happen to consoles since Sony joined the business in 1994 and changed the game.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

Xbox is a bit off track, but neither company are telling you that you have to buy a new console every two years (btw, it will have been three by the time PS4K comes out). Your XB1/PS4 that you bought in 2013 will still be supported and play the same games as the newer models, you'll just miss out on higher frame rates and 4K (both of which, if important to you, would have initially led you to PC).
In all honesty, this line of thought has become rather annoying because it is both wrong and spammed all over. I don't know why people assume Sony and Microsoft are going to remotely brick their consoles and make them by new ones, but this needs to stop.

I don't know why all of a Sudden Console Generations are a bad thing, it seems that people want to get rid of them. |
I don't think the majority feel that way at all!

Never said it would end, just the way that we know it and if it's good or bad, we don't know but it isn't good so far.
