I consider myself a gaming enthusiast who tries to play different genres across multiple systems. I also dont mind throwing myself into something casual or mini game oriented from time to time just to break up the plethora of open world games, platformers and shooter. This is an area in which Nintendo excel especially with the Wii/Wii U. The Wii series of games are very divisive among gamers, but I really do like the simplistic fun approach to these games, and they have been great to bond with the kids when playing. If anybody here has enjoyed any of the Wii series games, let me know your favourite.

Personally Wii Sports Resort rules supreme.

I've played all the ones on the poll besides Wii Sports Club, Wii Fit, Wii Fit U, and Wii Party U. My favorite was Wii Party.

If you have a Wii U, then Wii party U is worth checking out. It's my young daughters favourite game, and she prefers that over the Mario party games.

Wii Sports Resort.

I'd go so far as to call it one of the best games of 2009.

Swordfighting with 1:1 motion controls was probably the most "wow, holy fuck, now this is next gen" moment I've ever experienced in my 22 years as a gamer. It was just so fresh and new and exciting, the sort of thing that was science fiction when I was a kid.

I sunk a ridiculous amount of hours into the kendo, aeroplane, and archery games, and have many fond memories of playing it with my family and friends.

Wii Sports Resort no doubt (Especially the sword minigames), with Wii Party as a close second imo. Wii Fit Plus was pretty fun as well.

Edit: Unrelated to the thread, but this got me thinking about a new Wii Sports Resort game made for VR. It will never happen, but how amazing would that be?

Yes! I think it's one of the best games on Wii. My favorite was ping pong, but swordfighting and archery were great too.

Out of all of these I've only ever played Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. I think Resort takes the cake.

Sports Resort is probably the best game in the minigame genre.
