The reason why they will announce PS4K very late is that they don't want the sales of the normal PS4 to drop now.

I still think november makes sense... but I can see either happending.

My money is on them not wanting to risk potential sales, by showing it off at E3.

A month or two before its release is the earliest we ll hear about it.

Its aimed at the hardcore crowd, and they ll learn about its exsistance anyways.

TGS reveal, Sony are waiting as long as possible to see what Scorpio stats lock-in at, they can adjust accordingly then. Neo is not only to help VR and UHD content but as a deterrent against Xbox starting a new generation prematurely. In essence it is here to stretch the generation out longer.

2016 is still on the cards. I think they are just going to do an imminent announce/release like they do for slims etc. How many months in advance was the N3DS shown off from its OG Japanese launch?

It'd be counterproductive to sales for them to show a new PS4 system at E3 and then launch it 3months later in October. Remember that we aren't even suppose to be aware of its existence.

There is E3, Gamescom, PGS, TGS and PSX. I can see them announcing it at PGS since they were the only ones at the event and had the stage to themselves.

I don't get why SEVERAL people have said this. The major POINT of the NEO from SEVERAL sources is that its for better PSVR experiences.

Primarily because it will be as expensive as the PSVR. 



My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

I know it was originally planned to have 4 Gigs, but they changed it, but I've never heard that it was influenced by the Xbox One. After all, the PS4 was unveiled months before the Xbox One. Can you provide a source for your statement?
