Gears will do even less than H5
October's a weak month anyway, look at last year with H5 and a price cut on each side, both consoles still disappointed

I don't think The Last Guardian will be a system seller but there's a very good chance Gears will shift a ton of consoles. Also, like Jason said, I think PSVR will have a small impact of PS4 sales. It will sell good but it's to expensive and no Kinect level type of hype to make it a "must have" this holiday.

No need for Sony to do anything, except for maybe a different bundle. Black Ops bundle is getting old at this point.

It is expected. Who would purchase a console when in the next month  they will be much cheaper and with a lot of promotions ?.

October will be the month when we will finally know if the Xbox One Slim will be able to sell well after release, It will also be interesting to see how much The Last Guardian will be able to sell.

We will probably hear something about the Neo or the NX until then.

Gears 4 will affect the hardware of the xb1 because it will b eon PC but it won't have a huge effect. Most people don't have a High-end PC to run these games so a $300 console will look more appealing to most consumers that $500+ PC.

You don't need a High End PC when Amd and Nvidia are launching Video Cards powerful enought to run those games very well and for just 200US$.

Microsoft need to release the cheaper version of Xbox One Slim before October in order to sell more consoles.

Not to mention Gears 4's selling point is the multiplayer, which you don't have to pay $60/year if you play it on PC.

Yeah, I just saw it overtake the XB1S. I did not expect that to happen so quickly.
