We are talking software wise, maybe The Last Guardian will be able to sell more consoles for new comers than Gears of War 4, also Gears of War  4 will be on the PC ,and this will hurt the hardware sales of  the Xbox One in some way.

I don't think The Last Guardian will be a system seller but there's a very good chance Gears will shift a ton of consoles. Also, like Jason said, I think PSVR will have a small impact of PS4 sales. It will sell good but it's to expensive and no Kinect level type of hype to make it a "must have" this holiday.

October will be the month when we will finally know if the Xbox One Slim will be able to sell well after release, It will also be interesting to see how much The Last Guardian will be able to sell.

We will probably hear something about the Neo or the NX until then.
