All right, now it's on!

I'll go with Atari 2600. It had a lot of clunkers, no doubt, but also some classics: Pitfall, Adventure, Combat, Yars' Revenge, and my personal favorite River Raid.

Wasn't Joust released on the 2600?  I loved me some Joust.

Why can't that get a remake?  MP only 12 on 12 riding on the back of giant flying birds with nothing but jousting sticks to knock your opponent off to their demise.

If they did the birds would probably be DLC... along with the Jousting Sticks... and the console to play it on would be constructed solely of microtransaction based tears.

Just look at Golden Ax beast rider lol, some times it's better to just let a franchise dead than dig it up, stick it on a pole and try to charge money to poke it with a stick.

Wow! So many people haven't ventured out from the big 4. Get out more guys, expand your knowledge! Mine has to be the Turbografx 16 or the Wonderswan. For those who don't know about the Wonderswan, it was a competitor to Gameboy developed by a team led by Gunpei Yokoi, the guy who created Gameboy. Turbografx was developed by Hudson Soft and NEC. Star studded consoles but their software lacked.

Do you actually have one? or do you just have knowledge of it and used emulation for it?

Have you tried Sportsball on Wii U? It's an awesome party game that plays a lot like Joust.

The wonderswan? Yeah, I'm in possession of two of them actually, currently trying to sell one on ebay.  I also own the Turbografx but not really, I have the Japanese PC Engine which is the US equivalent to the Turbo. It's smaller and looks much better imo.

Some of the more hard to find games, and expensive games, have pushed me to emulation in certain cases though. Like that darn Magical Chase selling for 100K on ebay.

Turbografx
It has an awesome multiplayer game called Dungeon Explorer, with some of the funniest bad dialogue in a game ever.

Something like: "To help you with your quest I have entrusted you with my most trused man Judas"
or "The king has been acting differently since the devil appeared"

I LOVE ICELAND!

Ah cool, I was just thinking that a lot of the joys of an older system comes from the system itself, when it comes to odd little handhelds I have a beautiful Neo Geo Pocket Color which has one of the best control sticks that I've ever held... while the PSP can emulate the whole system and all its games... it can't actually emulate just how good it feels using the original hardware.

The other weird handheld I use on occasion is a nokia N-Gage lol such a weird console... but really has some great titles and ports on it.
