Alright people, I'm a Nintendo Fanman but there are certain PC games that I love. The Total War series has been one of my favorite series in my life (I remember played Medieval 1 back in the day on a pathetic computer that couldn't handle it at the time and loving it anyway lol), and because Warhammer (which I LOVE playing through) has broken their sales record for this amount of time, I have some questions:

Obviously they are going to continue expanding the warhammer one (they will have I think at least two expansions based on what they said), but as for beyond that:

1) Will they continue with more cross over universes and, if so, what would you like to see?

2) Will they go back to historical routes like literally every other previous game before Warhammer?

3) Will they do more modernistic games (WW1/2, Cold War, etc)?

4) Will they Go for futuristic?

Just give me Three Kingdoms already and you'll even have me consider pre-ordering. I think I haven't pre-ordered a game in like ten years, and I'm extremely reluctant to even buy anything at full price if it's digital (which all recent Total War games have been in practice), so I think you can see why that's a pretty big statement from me.

Sadly, I doubt they're going to go for it. It's probably a bit risky for them due to Three Kingdoms being an unfamiliar setting to a lot of their target audience. Even Japanese hustiry seems to be something a lot of people don't like as a setting, let alone Chinese history even less people are familiar with.

What they should definitely not do is a modern or futuristic settings. Handling formations is a huge thing for the series, and I highly doubt they can do anything like that with a modern/futuristic setting. Maybe with space ships, but I wouldn't personally like seeing Total War go that route.

Total War: Suikoden, might as well suggest Suikoden for any spinoffs, this is the second time today, dangit, now I miss that little war sequences in the game.

I mean, for crossover universes my immediate instinct is Lord of the Rings. But honestly, it almost feels like that would be redundant cause Third Age: Total War exists and is frankly one of the best LOTR gaming experiences out there period. Seriously, if you have Medieval 2: Total War, check out Third Age. It's pretty freaking awesome.

Historical settings, there's the Three Kingdoms period of China which could be really cool. World War I or World War 2 *could* be cool, but require a LOT of new mechanics and adjustments to account for how wars were fought by that time, including aerial combat and use of bombing and such.

Go all out and do Warhammer 40k.

Would be incredible.

I'm hoping for Medieval 3. World War II could also be interesting, but yeah it would mean a lot of change to current mechanics. I'd be interested though.

Not really in the fantasy settings, though I agree The Third Age was a great Medieval 2 mod. Futuristic would suck.

Three kingdoms, stars wars, lord of the rings, warhammer 40k all 4 would interest me.

Medieval II is too old and too ugly to be a viable option. I'm hoping someone adapts the mod to modern standards with TW: Warhammer.

I knew owned a Total War game but I almost got one when they were discounted heavy through humble bundle site. I was going to pick up Empire: Total War but was short on cash. I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't. I suppose I'll try and pick it up again in a future sale.
