You got a good point, but they could at least sell the digital PS4 version for 50 and not for 70 bucks, like they made it for the PC players |
Why sell it for 50 on PS4 when millions will buy it for 70 on PS4/Xone? It is the consumers fault.

Got my game on PS4 for £37 which is great considering I paid the same price for Quantum Break and DOOM for examples which are just 15ish hours of singleplayer campaign and I was happy with that, If I only get a couple of weeks out of Overwatch playing a similar amount of time as the 2 examples I mentioned and I decide I've had enough you can just throw it on ebay for 10 quid less than you paid walk away with you moneys worth.
There is also a very likely situation of it becoming a go-to game for 30 minutes or a hour a day for the coming months maybe even years if content is still added which I believe it is and for free and the initial investment for the game becomes one of the best value for money you can find.
I don't really understand where the expensive part comes from unless people want to pay £18 more at £54.99 but almost all digital games are a complete riff off anyway.

And there is no reason why a cheaper options surely cannot be available for the many Beta players on XBO and PS4 as well (not everyone has high end spec PCs to play this game on). £55 for 'Origins Edition' is all they get. |

High end spec PC? Not really, it's possible to chuck together a gaming PC which will play overwatch at a somewhat decent framerate, my own PC actually has a Core2Quad and I had no issues playing this game even though the processor is a generation older than the min spec one listed here.
But yeah, the basic version of the game should and most likely will come to consoles because this game requires people to buy it for the game to be enjoyable for those online, waiting for games forever would be no fun in this and would lead to an evolve situation, blizz just hopefully start to sell the game at a price that people will jump in to before it's too late.

Personally, I thought it was okay. I paid 40 bucks for the PC version. Also, after getting the PC version of this game, I've decided that going forward, I will buy all my multi-plats on PC, and save the exclusives for PS4. I was so beyond happy when Killer Instinct was announced for PC. It's literally the only game on Xbox One that I was interested in.
I bought that game -AFTER- overwatch. So, looking at the price of 40 dollars, I think it's okay. The only problem I have with the game is that it feels a bit feathery. Like, the characters don't feel like they have enough weight to them.
Also, I paid for the game a few weeks ago. So, I really don't miss the 40. But, I probably would have paid 60 regardless because it's the first, first-person-shooter I've bought that has an online multi-player. I'm not big on FPS games, and I do not plan to buy another anytime soon.
It doesn't have a campaign like Battlefield or CoD but like for 80% of the players who play these games, the singleplayer is uninteresting. It's all about the multiplayer and how you will play it hundreds of hours.
It's one of the best shooters I've ever played and I play games for almost 30 years now. This game will be much cheaper for most people as most other games if you talk about the costs per hour playtime.
If that justifies to ask for the same price as for other AAA games is another question but at least for the players it justifies to spend so much since they know how long they will have fun with it especially with all the free updates it will get.
And you can be almost sure that Blizzard will really support this game, many other devs don't really do much with the game after they release it even if it has bugs and stuff like that.

You really don't need a high end PC for this game. It surely runs even on PCs from 2009 or something.

Seconded. It runs on my old crappy laptop. For reference, my graphics card is the integrated (came with the laptop) Intel 4000 graphics card. The only thing I paid extra for is a mouse
If you don't like the game, don't buy it. I'm clearly not alone in saying that value is determined on a person by person basis. For most people, having a balanced non toxic team multiplayer is enough to justify the purchase. Heck, most people buy call of duty solely for the multiplayer, why can't they do the same for overwatch.

I'm taken aback too. Only a few reviews are in but they're positively glowing. It's strange to me, as Evolve and Titanfall earned a fair share of detractors. Maybe things will changes as more reviews come in?
