My point was innovation should only be implemented if it will be used.

And my point is that has nothing to do with the quality of the controller which you called terrible. And btw yes it is used, not in anyway big ways, but it doesn't detract from the experience so it's only a plus.

Its his opinion that the controller quaility is bad.

And? I'm not trying to change his opinion, I'm just pointing out the flawed reasoning behind it.

maybe he bought it with the intention that it was going to be really innovative, it wasnt for him. So he feels the controller sucks as a whole, but its your opinion his reasoning is flawed so it is what it is

Maybe you should let him answer?

The gamepad was not used for games that would be good with a touchscreen.
Professor Layton (solving graphic puzzles)
Animal Crossing (making patterns, changing the village topography)
Trauma Center (playing doctor)

The gamepad was not used enough for gyro controlled games.
Pilotwings (controlling planes, parachutes, wingsuits, jetman-wings)
Wave Race (controlling jet-ski)
Monkey Ball (tilting)

The gamepad could be used for the UI in games like:
Endless Ocean (virtual aquarium)
RPG- and FPS-games (all inventories on the gamepad)

More games that could use the gamepad like Nintendo Land: Mario Chase, RTS, Sims, Minecraft.

maybe we will still get one. ultra smash was announced at e3 last year and released shortly after. A football game based on that enginge could me made in 1 year (wouldnt have much content then though)

football/soccer will also be in mario and sonic at the olympic games rio 2016

Starts 3:30, is this good enough for you?

Nintendo would have to go back and reprogram every game on the Wii VC to be compatible with the Wii U Gamepad and Pro controller.

is it that hard? it doesnt seem like an issue for other companies

Im not sure they have to reprogram every game. Just make whatever emulator they use compatible with a WiiU controller.

Europe needs a REAL football game not a mario one lol.

I don't recall any third party developers going back and repgrogramming their games with modern controller support on the Wii VC. I'm sure it would be a huge pain in the ass to Nintendo go in and reprogram the games that it didn't develop, and would get costly after a while, with the breaches in contracts and whatnot.
