Forums - Nintendo - What Nintendo IP should become Nintendo's first movie?

I vote Splatoon

Story could be a new girl has moved into the neighborhood and needs to make friends, that type of typical story. Well somehow people will find out shes good at ink wars and she befriends a few people, but they're all kind of loners and they arent popular enough just like her.

Well one day she finds a flyer that is promoting the next big splatfest tournament, teams from all over the world will enter to try to be come the next big splat champion.

This gives her the idea for her and her friends to join the tournament to show everyone they arent just ordinary squid girls and guys. Each one of them has their own special talent and they have to figure out a way to utilize them(each is good with a different weapon/technique)

Once they find out all their abilities together makes them a good team, they enter and they can get to the end of the tournament and before anyone can be crowned champion(the final match), the Octoaliens invade and the team of friends has to stop them(enemies in the actual game/last boss)

it would be an action/adventure/feel good comedy lol

As I said in the other thread Punch-Out!! has SOOO MUCH POTENTIAL, but they need to find the right actors for the key roles. of course it'd need to be a Live Action movie. I don't really know many directors/actors, I'm limited to the main characters of the MCU...

Another combo might be F-Zero, live action directed by Michael Bay but I know that it'd cost too much and that it'd have a 90% chance of beeing terribe

Edit: I don't know how I forgot about this: Matt Groening and the people behind Wreck it Ralph would be pretty amazing as Directors for the more cartoony movies...

Who cares if it does bad? Michael Bay movies sell like hot cakes...

Just make it all action and have Captain Falcon become a badass.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Well every person who would want to see it would care if its bad or not...

Punch-Out and Metroid..

Fire Emblem would be better as a series.

Transformers 4 was horrendous. However, that didn't stop it from doing excellent in the box office

So? Would it be ok for you if Nintendo started making bad games as long as they sold well?

I agree with the other people who said Punch-Out! for a couple of reasons; it's low risk, it wouldn't need a large budget and there's enough material to make a funny underdog sports comedy out of it.

Anime Smash bro's
Anime Fire Emblem
CGI Mario movie
as for directors, I wouldn't know how to answer that, since I don't know anything about modern day movie directors.

PSn - greencactaur
Nintendo Switch FC - SW - 5152 - 6393 - 5140 Please feel free to add me :)

Mario, A really well done CGI Mario movie could be as successful as something like Frozen if done right. Alot of Nintendo franchises could traslate well to an animated movie like Kirby, Pokemon etc

But Nintendo already had their first movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108255/
