Why wouldn't it? It has been great since the first one ever made lol.

I never played doom and I rarely play any fps at all but all that I've seen so far looks amazing. Gonna definitely get it for the SP. How long does one run through the campaign last?

The marketing for the game was horrible.
If this fails to sell, thats probably why.

I think the incoming glowing reviews will make up for it. Also it's pretty heavily preordered. There is actually no way it would fail even if it was complete shit.

True, 1st multi-player then single-player was a bad idea, and so they sent them(reviewers) after release due to journalists leaked Bethesda's games during development.

Edit: also for not sending them early, it's usually a bad sign.

Having played through the first level so far, have to say I'm mightily impressed! Everything is so fast and fluid and gorgeus looking, and the sound is fantastic!

the sound is probably the only thing i feel is underwhelming, at least in the multiplayer, havent tried out the single player yet. but the gun sounds are just bad. other than that its fantastic and highly addictive. 

I'm loving it so far. It's like a mix of 3 of my favourite games ever: Doom, Quake and Metroid Prime.
