Can we still download it? Seems like MS is shutting their entire gaming business except for the couple big franchises.

Thats always been the case.

No risks whatsoever from their own studios. If a third party exclusive is a hit, they buy the rights of the game, dump the studio and create one based around that specific game.

When a game is not a HUGE hit, you can kiss bye bye that franchise.

Their competitors arent much different.

Something we are seeing this gen is more reliance on 3rd parties, period.

And very, VERY hyped.

What happens in bizarro isn't relevant in our universe. I think people confuse interest with hype.

Anyhow, Project Spark was actually pretty cool. But I guess Roblox is similar and appears to be more robust in features.

Bottom line, both Sony and MS have clearly lost interest in online focused gaming. Sony sold SOE, MS cancelled Fable Legends. The bubble has popped inspite of some exceptions.

I thought the PS5 was going to be an Online Gaming Service, well thats what i heard around these parts. Sony buying Gaikai for 400 million dollars and all. Thats a relieve.

Can you name me ONE example of a Gears, Halo and Forza situation of the Xbox competition tho?

Well this isn't a good message...

I think the message is this online service gaming aint working. So now they are more focused on creating games we want and even putting them on PC.

Its a direction I think more people should be happy with.

I dont get what youre saying exactly. Do you mean a studio that works on a single IP? Gran Turismo. Also, Sony has closed down numerous studios for not having hits for too long.

While it was fun to make worlds, it wasn't as much fun to play (most) of them.

Still not sure why they can't just keep it running. Other than it's too close to Minecraft with creating things?

Project Spark AR world would have been cool.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

wasn't this meant to be like a better version of LBP? I saw it a few months ago at the game store in the bargain bin. They had about 30 copies all selling for $1 AUD so around 50 cents American.

I know people like to overreact, but it's starting to become more and more apparent that Microsoft is giving up on the XBox and focusing on more profitable ventures.

Yes, this is not an exclusive, but the recent trends indicates that Microsoft is less and less concerned about making games. They needs first-party games to make their console appealing.

It's a shame really. I really wanted Project Spark to have a more dedicated community.

This is what I thought and my friends who own an Xbox were really hyped for it but MS released it without any marketing and essentially sent it out to die. When I told my mate they were shutting it down, he didn't even know the game had released.
