EA vs Activision

Dice vs Infinity Ward

Battlefield vs Call of Duty

It's clear who had the better reveal.  But will that translate to sales.  I still think COD sells a lot lot more than battlefield.

Edit: I'll update the figures periodically.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

You didn't do a comparison by the metrics.  Just posted both videos and asked which is better.  That's why I made my thread.  It's comparing the views. Comments and ratings.

Surprised people love Dice as much as they do after Battlefield 4 horrible launch bullshit. Guess casual fans are more forgiving.

I could honestly ser BF1 selling close to COD this year.

Can't wait for the reviews!

Pocky Lover Boy!

I'm buying both so meh. I'll probably enjoy BF1 more though.

I'm with you. Between playing BF1 and cod4 remastered I'm fucking hyped for the end the year.  I'm hoping infinite warfare is somewhat enjoyable too.  If it is major bonus.  It's getting zombies too apparently so that should be good.

You are right, the launch was absolutely abysmal, essentially unplayable. But the Battlefield franchise has not been ravaged by EA nearly as much as COD has by Activision. This will be the first true Battlefield in 3 years, whilst COD is spewed out yearly. BF4 has had solid support via patches, free DLC, weapons etc for it's entire duration, whilst COD is basically a 6-8 month game with shady DLC practices, locking new and over-powered weapons behind RNG-supply drops to incentivise paid microtranscations just for the CHANCE to win one. The nail in the coffin is COD going even further into the future and keeping the advanced movement system. The masses have made it clear they are tired of this and want to back 'boots on the ground' and contemporary weapons.

I commend EA(this time, they totally fucked people over with Battlefront which was essentially half a game unless you paid a ridiculous amount for the expansions) and Dice for being daring enough to go to World War era in a gaming landscape where future warfare is the norm now(Killzone, Gears of War, COD, etc). What is old, is new again. This entry to BF looks great graphically and conceptually. After BF4 was all patched up, it became an amazingly well made game. I'm very much looking forward to BF1.
