I think some people are under the impression those deals are about getting the best sales. But its probably about pushing games outside of the usual popular genres.

EA Access is also on Xbox One and not on PS4.

Sony has COD, Destiny, Battlefront and as far as I'm aware Deus Ex.
Isn't Final Fantasy 15 being marketed with PS4 too?

Sony also has way more actual exclusive games coming to PS4, with Horizon still confirmed for 2016, GT: Sport, The Last Guardian, Ni-Oh, Nier: Automata too.
Sony got No Man's Sky too.

Battlefield 1 just isn't needed, especially when Sony are likely to sell considerably more units of the game and DLC on their platform.
