Alden Ehrenreich has been chosen to play the Han Solo spinoff in the Star Wars Universe.

- movie is slated for 2018

- movie will be about Solo before he joined the Rebel Alliance (around 10 years before A New Hope)

- not an origin movie

- movie starts shooting in January

- it is rumored that young Han Solo could make a cameo in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”

- he was chosen over rumored candidates including:

“Divergent” stars Miles Teller and Ansel Elgort, Scott Eastwood, “Kingsman” and “Eddie the Eagle” star Taron Egerton, and “Sing Street” star Jack Reynor

- produced and scripted by Lawrence Kasdan — who co-wrote “The Empire Strikes Back,” “Return of the Jedi” and “The Force Awakens”

I kind of feel like Chris Pratt has being playing Han Solo in Guardians of the Galaxies.

I'll be honest though, I just think Pratt is perfect for any of Ford's roles for some reason lol

Guardians of the Galaxy is a Star Wars film in another Universe. :P

Pratt is very photogenic and is gold for comedy. But maybe he lacks some of that menacing and rough personality that Ford has.

That's probably true, Pratt is just a tad bit goofier. It's not a bad thing, but Ford's solo was... I'll put it this way, he was standing next to Billy Dee Williams and seemed like the cool one.

Yeah, Lando was as suave as a human could possibly be.

I really wanted Taron Egerton, but I guess I will give this guy a shot.
