Xbox is the new water cooler.

and the next one was an utter flop.

in fact, the Kinect did a lot more harm then good for MS when looking at the big picture. it helped drive MS and Xbox into a direction that resulted in them losing massive market share, and being put into a position where they had to cut the price of their console and use promotions heavily for it to be able to compete in pretty much  just 2 markets. 

the kinect is pretty much done for now, no new content, the xbox one its self has removed a lot of kinect features because it nobody used them, and no one cares for it, not even MS.

for a product that was meant as a massive selling point for a console, it sure did prove to be a massive failure when it was one of the main reasons people didnt want said console. and honestly its deserves its failure, because its garbage gaming peripheral. 

Dang kowenicki, you use some great public relations techniques, ever worked in the field? I see you attacking the competition of the company you don't support (crazy ken), refraining the discussion around the best way of looking at this (kinect  and whether or not to include kinect 2) , saying that the failure isn't really a failure at all. Just handing it to you, buddy.

Me just listing a few techniques and asking if he works in a professional field like PR isn't calling someone out or otherwise demeaning them from what I understand.  Most people would be quite happy with the salary a PR guy fetches, no insult intended.  Let's not assume that we're all trying to cut each other down, bc mabey we are just trying to get to know the people we are talking with bc the Internet makes you anonymous; why not  try  to bridge that with a question? Would most people call my comment flaming? Thanks for listening CGI.

Then that's why you can't be blunt when you ask things like that.  I could have used loaded words like spin and rhetoric .... but instead I just pointed out some things that he was doing and directly asked him if he has worked in the field much as i might ask someone displaying knowledge of medicine if he has worked in the field.  Don't see any uncivilized communication whatsoever.  

I'll admit that I wasn't aware of the meme when I issued the warning, but I still believe that the joke is in poor taste. 

Honestly, there's a lot of posts in here attacking the Kinect brand. Like CGI has said, let's keep it civil. Debating the long-term viability of the brand is fine...trashing the technology or the brand itself is not.
