and the next one was an utter flop.
in fact, the Kinect did a lot more harm then good for MS when looking at the big picture. it helped drive MS and Xbox into a direction that resulted in them losing massive market share, and being put into a position where they had to cut the price of their console and use promotions heavily for it to be able to compete in pretty much just 2 markets.
the kinect is pretty much done for now, no new content, the xbox one its self has removed a lot of kinect features because it nobody used them, and no one cares for it, not even MS.
for a product that was meant as a massive selling point for a console, it sure did prove to be a massive failure when it was one of the main reasons people didnt want said console. and honestly its deserves its failure, because its garbage gaming peripheral.
