Um...maybe you should try some of those games you mentioned because they are games anybody can play and it doesn't matter how old you are because they are fun. I'm 19 and happily playing the new Ratchet and Clank game :)

I have tried many of them on PS2. What is interesting that on PC you won't find game series like that and that speaks something of console and PC audiences.

Hm, I guess those games are just not for you. Those types of games can be played on emulators through pc though. I know a few people that play old nintendo or ps2 games on them. Just because they're not on Steam, doesn't mean there's not an audience for them.

I find it strange that you are unaware of the PC games that are like that.  They exist, believe it or not.  Many of them exist.

Some people never grow up I guess.

self-awareness is the first step

You should really reconsider your definition of "grow up" XD

I don't get it how adults can like anime. Or comics.

Why on earth would I care about who the visual style is aimed for as long as it pleases my eye enough? Why? Give me a single reason.

In my country they say "You are not an adult, before you dare to be childish"

Minecraft, Team Fortress 2, Skylanders, Disney Infinity, Lego games, Hearthstone, Sonic the Hedgehog, League of Legends.

Anyway, the only time I've ever known people to say this was just out of insecurity, it's perplexing that colorfulness does not appeal to you. The only people I know to be like this in general are 10-16 year olds so maybe it is you who needs to grow up?

I don't know all of them but the ones I know I don't find kiddy.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

And I don't see how it would stop me from having a good experience. Many games with fantastic gameplay and even good or fun stories, have these visual styles. Like Ratchet & Clank, Super Mario series, Muramasa, Mark of the Ninja etc. Beyond Good and Evil also has a "kiddy" look, but it's one hell of a game.
Team Fortress 2 is another great example; ludicrous over-the top visuals but amazing gameplay, or how about the golden oldie Timesplitters on PS2 and Xbox? Great games as well.

It's the same with animated movies; they have a decidedly childish look but many tackle adult themes and problems and can easily be enjoyed just as much by people of all ages.

Alright, name me one kiddy 3D platformer PC centric game series.

It doesn't have anything to do with maturity level. It's simply what sort of visuals appeal to individuals. Liking realistic games doesn't make you more of a 'grown up'. It just means you become more immersed with games that recreate a realistic world. Other people become more immersed in games that have a different visual style.

I like an interesting color palette (whether that's bright colors, a monochrome style, or something else), unique visuals, and vibraint characters and enviroments. I like seeing the extent of people's creativity in design. Does that mean I'm not a mature adult?
