Jim Sterling gave the game a 8.5 and gamers are turning wild in that review. Just calm down XD.

THAT, my dear friends is a review by Lucy O'Brien. I didn't know she was handling the review until I saw the score.... her name should set off alarm bells, she low-balls all PS games and is a femi-nazi.

She scored Rise of the Tomb Raider 9.3 and has a whole point in the summary box devoted to saying "A great hero", the only negative is "uninspired combat".... she conveniently leaves out that the dialogue is absolute garbage and that the story is nonsense too. "Strong villians" is a point I would strongly contest, one of them is names Konstantine and Lara fights him in a mechanically identical way to the way Ellie in TLOU fights Bill. It is widely known that the set-pieces are in general inferior to even Uncharted 2 and that the animations are often described as "janky". 

I am not saying that ROTTR is a bad game, it is a good game, even a great game for many but to put it above Uncharted 4 in light of all the other reviews (and even Polygon rating UC4 a 9 / 10.) is spitting in the face of all the Uncharted fans and IGN readers who have been there since the Greg and Colin days.....

Let's say the game gets 100 reviews. In order for the game to end up with an 88 average, those last 38 reviews would have to give it an average score of 78.

The game currently doesn't have a score that low.

I consider 8.5 and above a very good score for a game.

Oh, wow, an 8.8! Call the police everyone, such a low score won't be tolerated! The game is being low-balled!

Actually the score isn't the probem.

It's just the fact that we pretty much know what she'll say. The hero is average (when the last TR really took inspiration from Nate), Elena not a main char, etc...
