Zelda is the only playable game at showfloor. If any game is there besides it, then it won't be playable like playable demo. Unless Nintendo considers playable demos as something different than playable games. Which is silly because the Zelda Wii U on the showfloor will be a playable demo itself.

So... what, the reason they're gonna have trailers over demos, is because Zelda U is the only demo Nintendo is allowed to present for some reason, so to show off their other games it has to be through trailers? Naw that doesn't sound right. If Nintendo was gonna have other games on the showfloor it'd be through demos, but they've clearly decided on their own to have Zelda and only Zelda on the floor. No other demos, and certainly no trailers.

Good find, looks like they didn't specify so there's a tiny bit of hope they can have demo booths showing trailers for other games.

I mainly wanted to know the logic behind your idea, if there was more to it than just Nintendo not being specific enough with their wording, namely if there was actually a valid reason to have trailers instead of demos in the booths.

Personally I couldn't are less either way as I always buy the console lol.

The market on the other hand may, and it could be a costly exercise.

No, my thoughts haven't changed. I never found it a big deal to begin with. I did think having only Zelda seems like a bad idea, so I'm thinking maybe they have a few more surprises in store.. or they don't, in which case they're getting everything ready for NX and that gets me excited for that.

I got the news and carried on with my life. Zelda and the NX will come at some point in time. Not bothered in the slightest.

Not really, I still think it's a pretty bad idea :p

After a few days to process it, I've actually grown more worried about all this. My fear stews from the fact that 'March 2017' is such a suspicious time for them to say they will release a new console. Why? Because it's the tail end of fiscal year 2016. I'm worried that they said it's releasing in March now just so they could tell their investors, "don't worry! We've got new hardware launching this fiscal year!" Only to then later in the year say "whoops sorry, it's actually launching in fiscal year 2017 (Holiday 2017). Also, even if the NX launches in March, I'm also kinda worried that Zelda Wii U/NX will release in Holiday 2017. I don't know if I could take that...

I still dont think it was planned this way from the start.
Its about them not hitting the marks they where aiming for thats all.

I dont think its a good sign for nintendo imo (carefull planning executed well is ofc better).
With the PS4 you could tell the planned everything out, and launched the thing without a hickup.

With the NX, you basically already know, that something went wrong, and that their abit off plan.

*My opinion is the NX was supposed to launch holidays 2016. So was zelda.

Something went wrong, so they had to push it back. Them being so secretive means their afraid to show anything hardware wise at E3.

Which means they dont get to market their new console to all those people at e3 and the journalists there.

Thats still not a good thing. Neither is missing the holiday & black friday sales.

No, whether it releases at the end of 2016 or March 2017 has no influence on my decision to purchase it. The games that are on it are the thing that will weigh more heavily upon my purchase decision.

I think I calmed down a little and now I'm in the "I have accepted it" phase of all this. Gamexplain really hit the nail on the head as for how this will play out. It's gonna suck in the short term but it won't make too much of a difference in the long run.
Yeah it sucks we aren't getting it in 2016 but I'm personally okay with that. And the release date of March 2017 is actually perfect for me because then I can beg my parents for it as an early high school graduation gift! :D
The only thing I was really upset about was that the NX wasn't gonna be at E3. I'm semi-okay with the fact that there isn't gonna be any demos of other games other than Zelda because that gives the developers more time to develop the games. But not showing even a LITTLE bit of NX information is just downright depressing. If they showed off 10-20 minutes of NX information to the fans, that would be enough for the fans to get excited for it when it launches. But I guess we are gonna have to wait until at least August for some NX info. *sigh*

Nintendo"s E3 presence just keeps shrinking and shrinking. I wouldn't be surprised if next year all they present is the Nintendo logo...and some people would still be okay with that.
