It's very easy to feel like a winner under such circumstances.

Thats why challenges like this are useless. Some gamers dont have the ability to admit when they are wrong. Where is your crow avatar btw?

But it does as the whole reason for the delay was to coincide with NX launch, the second delay only solidified this. I mean there's literally no other explanation for their dead silence on the game.

No actually I was right.

I knew, just like everyone else who said 2016, that this wasn't about just a few months (I included Q1 2017 just in case some people like you would pretend that January 1, 2017 at 00:01 AM counts as "2017"), but about a period spanning over a year or longer.

It was about the the realization of how badly the WiiU was doing vs the denial of it. "There is no 2017 for WiiU" was the argument.
When people said 2017, they meant holiday or beyond, because no console has ever launched worldwide outside of the holidays.

Well that wasnt an option. It was 2016 or 2017. You were right though.

1. There were never any definitive conditions set in that thread. It never went beyond a suggestion.

2. I was right about Nintendo targeting a holiday 2016 launch and the only possible reason why that wouldn't happen would be a delay. I was wrong about the year the NX will launch in, but my reasoning remained correct regardless. I don't need to sport a crow avatar for getting the year wrong because I've never agreed to do so.

3. I do not lack the ability to admit when I am wrong or the ability to go through with an actual bet. I've served a 30 day ban for a lost bet before, so 30 days of different avatar would be a piece of cake in comparison. Like I said, I am not going to change my avatar because there has been no bet.

4. If people are serious about serving crows, then they should serve some to the people who were convinced that the Wii U would still see several new games in 2017.

The crow avatar thing was made pretty clear. If you wont do it, then dont participate in the first place.

People were assuming a holiday release. The question was which.
It wasn't about picking the exact month, week or day. It was about which reasoning was correct.

People who said 2016 were correct in that WiiU seeimgly won't get any more quality releases beyond what we know. And if there is anything, it's not going to be much. Not enough to sustain it through 2017. There were many signs for this.
People who said 2017 or 2018 believed the opposite.

That's what it was ultimately about. Not picking the exact month of release.

Are you talking about any specific topic, or the debate in general?
The debate in general was certainly not something where 00:01 AM on January 2017 would have made a difference.
It was about the state of WiiU and when Nintendo intends to replace it. Team 2016 had the right idea.

If you're talking about a topic, the "Would you like to go on the record and predict when the NX will Launch?" topic didn't say it was about guessing the year but simply "when" we expect it to launch.

They never said that. They said that NX would be part of their move to Nintendo-like profits again, and that they'd talk about NX in the 2016-2017 fiscal year.

As you can see, the "next fiscal year" (2016-2017) and "Nintendo-like profits" weren't directly connected, they just occurred in the same answer. It was people like you, trying to justify a flawed belief that the system would release by holiday 2016, that made the connection between two separate things.

Just admit it - you explicitly said, here, that it would release by holiday 2016. You did invoke the "unless it is delayed", but then you rejected the idea of a delay. There is literally no indication that they ever planned it for a holiday 2016 release. But even if it was, you predicted a holiday 2016 release, in a thread where people were establishing whether they believed it would be 2016 or 2017, and you explicitly said "So that's why NX will launch in late 2016". The system is NOT launching in late 2016. There's no wiggle-room, here. You were wrong. Just admit it.
