We should make a Wall of Shame!

So sad the number of people that are trying to evade this. I know some of them are actively posting aswell and just refusing to play along.

I remember beeing asked if i was wrong wether i woud mysteriously disappear come E3. At the time i answered ofc not. I will just admit i was wrong if i am.

But to see peeps truthfully dodging this means not only that we can't trust their word, but that having such bet games in the future is pointless because peeps will just cheat out of their end of the bet like nothing happened. That is not honest and it reflects on the whole forum. Not to mention said people lose all their credibility. The stubburness over a forum post is uncanny. Very sad.

I don't know what the big deal is about changing your avatar for a bit. Quite honestly i feel like playing along and using one myself just cause it looks fun having people play along like this. 

Personally, the only reason I have the avatar I have is because, years ago, there was a big deal over NSFW avatars and I'm edgy like that. I've been wanting to change back but I'm just lazy. If I wasn't, I'd change my avatar to Cro from MST3K!

I honestly didn't know there was a bet, though. If I did, I wouldn't have said 2015 when I posted in the thread. If a mod wants to change mine, I don't mind. I did totally believe it was coming this year.

It's really not a matter of evading anything. The fact of the matter is that it is never said in the OP that anything is a bet. In the thread he makes a suggestion that whoever is wrong should do something. Bets are not made that way. A bet is an agreement made by 2 or more consenting parties. If one does not agree to the terms than it is not a bet. If you are later told you were part of a bet even though this was without your knowledge then it is not a bet. A bet, to me at least, is something that is clear cut with rules clearly stated from the start. Saying "Will NX come out in 2016 or 2017? If youre wrong you should totally do this as punishment" like the original thread is not a bet. 

I'd respect the rules of a bet if there were any to begin with let alone a bet being mentioned. But there isn't. I would not have participated in a betting thread involving Nintendo, they're the last company I would ever bet with since they're so random with their decision making. If it was Sony or MS I would more likely bet with them since there is a level of predictability with them. 

Anyway, people can tell me I'm evading this or a poor loser if they want -whatever helps them sleep at night. But if I'm being added to something without my permission in a thread that never mentions a bet then no one should expect me to respect their terms as they have not made them clear. But that's my take away anyway

It was clearly a bet.

You can argue the losing conditions, but it was pretty much agreed in that thread. We all went in with that in mind. I mean the whole thread was about eating crow.

This really sounds just like evading. And i mean... is it really such a big deal that one must evade? Its your avatar for a month. It's not your right arm or anything.

"any other bets" does NOT mean the initial part of what was said is a bet. And if it is that's a pretty shady way of making a bet. Like I said saying "I personally think" is not a rule. Make them clear cut -not a poorly thought out suggestion. 

No the whole thread was about which time table you believed the NX would come out on. 

If it was a bet I would agree to it. It was not so I won't agree to conditions of an imaginary bet. If the OP makes bets in the future he should make sure to word them better if he expects people to follow it. I'm fine with changing the avi if I was told it was a bet. Calling something a bet retroactively is not a way to go around making bets
