I doubt the ps3 will have a steady 240k week until fall it sounds like too much.

Though I expect 500k for PS3 the week it releases, and 300k the week after, then setteling around 180-210k for a whole month, then back to near 150k.

Seriously. He said after a year. Granted I don't think it will sell more than 4m LTD, but, your one in three was just bad estimate for PS3's sales by then.

I'd say there will be more than 17.4 mil PS3's by June 12, 2009.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Lost in translation perhaps.  And metal isn't very descriptive color wise.

I agree it will be way over 17.4.  Just used that because of noobie saying selnor's number after a year would be 1 in 3.

i wouldn't read into this too much, considering that the japanese seem to go crazy for special/limited editions and that some people will buy it to resell.
