Forums - Nintendo - Why they have to launch zelda U and NX on the same day?

they will most likely release it first on nx (like they did with twilight princess, first wii release and gamecube later just to fck gamecube/wii u owners one last time)

People are upset not because of the delays in themselves, but due to the incredibly awkward and dishonest way it was handled all along. They put themselves in this situation from the release, or even the planning phase of the Wii U though, let's hope it's a wake-up call for them at long last.

The Last Guardian, is that enough?

Same reason because Sonny and MS did not revile PS4/XB1 at E3.

As in, the spiritual sequel to two games where the first sold 0.5-0.75 million on a 155 million userbase and the sequel sold a little over 1 million on the same sized userbase at the height of the massive 6th generation of consoles? No, that is not enough, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are very far from being among Sony's biggest franchises, or top five, it's not a huge series with millions of fans dating back to the 80's and The Last Guardian has never caused this much dismay due to this.

The Last Guardian almost has more in common with Duke Nuke 'Em Forever, in that it became, and remains today, a running joke in the industry, and if anything, people are taking it with humor rather than scorn after all these years.

So, no; that's not nearly enough.

Yes, I am pretty sure that Nintendo would done something similar like MS done with XB1 if they didnt miss holiday season with NX, but after  they moved launch for 4 months they changed their plans too.

other companys have enough other games so those delays arnt hurting the consumer.

Like uncharted 4 was delayed in 2015, but ps4 owner still got bloodborne, witcher3 , metal gear solid 5, batman arkham knight, Battlefront, New cod/fifa/madden/Assassins Creed, Fallout and co in 2015.

Zelda got delayed and wii u owners got a HD Port of zelda TP, a arcade port from pokken and a dual screen force motion control star fox. Wonderfull.

Because at this point they would rather market the new Zelda as a NX game altogether. WiiU gets screwed, but hey.

NX is more important to Nintendo future then a few annoyed people.

Well did said earlier they don't want to show NX too early because competition could steal their idea. And we all know that Nintendo keeps their NX cards very close to chest, for instance people saying that NDA for NX is much stronger than ever before, and we still dont know anything except release date and Zelda NX.
