Forums - Nintendo - Sonic Unleased is Appartly Headed to the Wii...

It's highly unlikely that the footage we saw was from the Wii version--let's not kid ourselves, the graphics were way too advanced. However, it would be ridiculous of Sega not to release a Wii version. Sonic and the Secret Rings sold well, M&S has sold over 4 million copies (5?) in the few months its' been out, and everyone loves him in Brawl. The Wii version would be Sega's best-selling game since they made consoles themselves.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

How do you not have time to get the link?

Umm the wii already has sonic and the secret rings. which is basically what unleashed is but alot more graphics heavy. If it was for the Wii then sonic and the secret rings would of looked atleast romotly like that.

Read my previous post.

I still fail to see what's so awesome on those screenshots/videos besides their crispness, but it seems I was right on my Wii/360/PS3 prediction ;D

IGN already debunked this, I think.

I feel cheated on. When a game sells bad on the Wii, developers moan and complain, and stop supporting the Wii.

When a game sells very well on the Wii, the developer decides to fuck the Wii fans and give the other consoles a try.

It's ungraspable and frankly, unacceptable.

Wii couldn't handle a direct port , it would have to be downgraded. Sorry to all those nintnendo fanboys but this game is at the very least the Wii's peak performance.

I was in the middle of something when I posted this topic and could not head over to GS to get the link, sorry.

The graphics will be much better than SSR, but obviously not as good as the HD versions. Sonic is very casual, maybe even more than Mario is. That is why he sells so well in more casual markets like the UK. If the game uses the WiiMote responsibly and it turns out to be a really good game(not nec great) it will sell a couple million on the Wii.

Look how well sonic games have sold on Nintendo systems.. SA2B for GC sold like 2 million on GC's pathetic user base.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

It's pretty obvious from the Secret Rings gameplay and the 2.5D that this is coming to the Wii. IGN didn't "debunk" shit, they said based entirely off of the graphics that it wasn't coming to Wii when the person who LEAKED it in the first place confirmed Wii and 360 off the bat with their respective magazine appearances.

Anyone who thinks this isn't coming to the Wii is kidding themselves, from the gameplay I would go as far as to say that it was built for the Wii off of Secret Rings' engine and what we're seeing is the graphically souped up 360/PS3 version. There's nothing so hard or complicated about a 2.5D Sonic game of all things that would prevent it from going to all 3 consoles, and considering that Secret Rings outsold both versions of '06 combined, Sega damn well knows Sonic sells best on the Wii.

I imagine it will come to all three. If it is going Wii60 than there is more or less no technical reason to just not go PSWii60.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S.
