Forums - Gaming Discussion - Solution to women's outrage over DoA Xtreme 3

Make one for women- buff men, nice abs, good face, etc etc.

Seriously, do you think the company would make it if no one wanted it? Men like that kinky stuff, so they made it.

No one is stopping women from making a game where every man is a sexy beast who only cares to satisfy his women with gifts and sex

Gender equality people. The only sexism I see is women shitting themselves when a woman shows her breasts(which are natural), but say nothing to this:

Hypocritical much? Men don't go and complain how they feel uncomfortable about their bodies due to imaginary characters meant to be unrealistic in terms of body shape and character.

Only thing that is keeping the gaming issue staying alive is the "feminists" who go out of their way to claim they're still oppressed. See the quote marks? It's because actual feminists don't waste their time on fictional human beings. They actually go out their way to help women CURRENTLY ALIVE(COUGH COUGH UNLIKE ANITA SARKEESIAN COUGH)

I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but if a girl with DD cups somehow triggers you, here's a viable solution:

To be honest, I wouldn't care at all if a "Dead or Alive xtreme 3"ish kind of game was made to target women- go ahead. I seriously don't care at all. In fact, I may as well fund a Dead or Alive: Men edition and end this gamergate once and for all.

Videogames are meant to be fantasy, and as such, characters are stylized to be appealing for both men and women. Just like TV shows and movies. It's just marketing.

Release the game, I'm fine for developers being more thoughtful about how they utilize women in regular games, but some games are intentionally supposed to be over the top/sexy ... it is what it is.

You would get the issue if you were a woman and lived as such but since you ain't I kinda understand why you are so ignorant.

The problem with such an argument is that it makes it impossible to use any form of evidence to debunk claims. Basically, no reasoning or logic can go against it because apparently only women can talk about women.

It makes no sense at all. Literally no one is stopping anyone from making a fantasy game for women. No one. It's the women who sit down and cry

Guys dont care, dont feel insulted, or think this demands higher standards of their bodies. And most gamers are guys, so boobies = more sales for less work.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

The game could have easily included DOA's full cast, with the option of selecting 8-10 characters to vacation with you on the island during your playthrough. I'm sure that everyone who actually bought the game wouldn't mind that in the slightest.

Or they could just all get breast implants to match the women in the game.

I don't think a straight up port of this just with beefy men instead of sexy girls would actually do very well.
Mostly because men don't need much more that jiggle physics to get them going, while women usually need athomsphere, mood and a storyline (crappy as may be) in their porn. (I'm not making his up, there's actual studys on how arousal works for men and women and with women it's more closely tied to emotion, from what I remember.)

There you have the first problem right there, It's something that would be harder to produce, for a what probably ampunt to a smaller audience. So it probably wouldn't be worth the profit.
Second is, this would probably have to, actually be produced by women (at least have a few making the ctreative decisions). Not to knock the developers of DoA, they're good at what they do and they clearly love it, but they are good at arousing men. Most women? Not so much.

You know what would probably work? Gay romance porn. I shit you not. There's a reason Yaoi and M/M genres are so popular with women and are largely dominated by women readers and authors alike. Women want fantasy, all right, just not neccissarily the same fantasy men want.

Of course that doesn't apply universally, but most women aren't really that interested in a harem fantasy if they can have intense, emotional monogamy instead. I get the feeling they also self-insert diffrently to men. The character they project on doesn't neccissarily have to be the same gender to work as a self insert.
Having two men in a story gives them the freedom of not having to subject themselves to comparision with another woman and simultaniously gives them the freedom of exploring both the agressive and submissve roles equally and at their own imagination. Plus, two beefcakes are better than one.

Edit: Also, what Rol said. It's a very apt comparison.

Mhm...

There's simply no balance when it comes to objectification because of how nature works. This isn't going to change.

The way men exploit women differs from the way that women exploit men. Men are after sex and pretend love to get it, women are after money and pretend love to get it. Do men mind when they get exploited for sex? The vast majority doesn't; actually, they would be happy about getting used in such a way. Do men mind when they get exploited for money? Oh yes, they are very upset about that.

So if as a man you want to get somewhat of an understanding of how women might feel about objectification, replace sex with money. It isn't the same, but at least it's a whole lot closer than looking at it from the perspective of sex vs. sex.

So, I should be offended by rich guys in games?
