I'll give you that. Doc Ock was really mishandled.

And now that I think about it, most of them aren't that great with the exception of: Guardians Ant-Man (this one's mixed with fans) Avengers (the first, Ultron was awful) Captain America 1, 2 All others have been relatively mediocre in my opinion. |
I'd add Iron-Man 1 and 3 and I liked Ultron too. In general is a pretty good "cinematic universe" if you count the shows which are bloody good, all of them. Some movies are mediocre, true, but I think all of them were, at least, watchable. There's not something Fantastic Four levels lol. I'm excited about Civil War and Doctor Strange though.

Hated the first cap. The worst marvel movie by far imo. Agreed with the rest.

When that film came out, I was singing its praises on this very site, with a couple of things I didn't like (Bucky's cheap death as if we cared about him, Tommy Lee Jones being pretty much the only commanding officer in the military, light hearted handling of a very serious subject).
I tried watching it again with a friend, recently. It really didn't hold up for me. I couldn't understand why people didn't like it at the time but on its own, it's a pretty hollow film now. Especially the final showdown with Red Skull.

Yeah, it's nothing astonishing, it's not close to Winter Soldier levels, but it stablish the Cap America character pretty well and Hydra. It's fine for a first Cap film as it is. There's not too much to say in plot terms, since it's really hollow. But pretty great character work.

Yea I think what made it worse is that I've never really been a captain america fan. Just never really liked his character. I was literally almost falling alseep towards the end of the movie. Which is why I was very very surprised at how good Cap 2 was. Probably the best marvel movie so far it was just amazing. Number 3 also looks like it's going to be amazing.

This.
At least Deadpool had a sweet 90's John Carpenter / Jan Hammer esque soundtrack though. That was the best thing about that movie.
I fail to see what the redeeming feature of this movie will be. This MVU crap takes itself way too seriously.

Honestly, how could you possibly know about the film if you didn't see it? It won't be for everyone, of course, but I can't possibly know if I'm going to like it or not, even if I'm hyped and optimistic about it.

i agree, in my opinion Iron Man 1, Captain America 2, Avengers 1 were the only REALLY good ones while the rest range from bad to decent. Ultron could have been really good but it was wayyyy to similar to the first one. |
So you didn't care for Guardians or Ant-Man. Honestly I think those two were my favorites.
