Forums - Nintendo - Miitomo generates $280k per week revenue.

Well the new President said he wanted to return to Wii like profits and he seems to be well on his way, holy s**t.

Estimated based on typical monetization rates for its position in the chart and number of downloads. These guys don't have any extra information that isn't public, and the app is so different to the typical app release that it could be making much more OR much less and we'd never know. (because most of those downloads were Nintendo console owners checking it out from gaming news sites, rather than the typical mobile app word of mouth)

Wow... that's low. Actually at that rate even a Gameloft title was considered a mediocre performer. I know it is still early, but lets hope that it keeps growing.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Good so far.If I understood everything correctly so far, more than 6 million people should have downloaded this far(he says that the app was downloaded 2,6 million times last week, and since we know that at first of april the app had at least 3 million downloads...), with 4 million checking in monthly(dont really know what he means by that), and 1 millino checking it dialy. And estimates put it at making 280k per week, making it a total of 1.12 million per month.

I would say this is good, specially since this app is not focused in making money, as Nintendo stated several times. But it is still a few ways off from making "Wii levels of profit".But for an app(not a game), that has less than 1 month of life, it is a very good news indeed.

Now, if Miitomo receives superb support for the comming months receiving a big new feature like Miifoto every 3 or 4 months, I can see this being a blown-out success, more than already is.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Im not really sure if this is good or bad.....

But from what the APP IS and what it OFFERS, i think it looking good........

I think these estimations are always a bit loose, I'll let Nintendo confirm.

From the download numbers alone, we know its off to a strong start

Nah. It's not making that much. They're basing that figure on what mobile games typically earn, but Miitomo is far less aggressive about microtransactions.

Isn't it dropping off fairly quickly though? It's kinda boring to be honest, I think a lot of people downloaded because it was Nintendo's first app. I don't see it having great legs unless Nintendo really adds a lot more content to it.

Thats really good tbh.

$12 million revenue in a year is a long long long ... way from wii like profits
Though as the saying goes every long journey starts at a single step
