Forums - Sony - Insomniac PSA: Long time fans should play R&C on hard

Insomniac recommends that any longtime R&C fans (or 3rd person shooters in general) start the game on HARD.  My go to difficulty level is normal, but I may start on hard this time, I'll trust Insomniac.

(I didn't see a thread about this in the Sony forum, sorry if already posted)

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

Been doing this for years with R&C

I still would have started on hard...

Bought my copy today

Never played any R&C before, I'm excited!!

not all of them do.  so far only the digital releases like quest for booty have them.   ..but i'm glad it is here.  i like R&C on normal but hard difficulty was a lot more fun for a long time fan like myself.

Normal would be way too easy, anyways.

Been doing this for over 10 years now ;) Can't wait!

Edit: 14 years to be exact.

What do you mean? I know Crack in Time had a difficulty setting, and I think Tools of Destruction did too. Into the Nexus also had a difficulty setting for sure.

I wonder did they make normal mode more easy for kids and new fans of the movie?

When I was in the zone with Uncharted I played on Hard first time (also improves trophy efficiency), but I may be a bit out of the zone with TPS and I haven't played a Ratchet and Clank game since A Crack in Time. But I will probably start on hard as hopefully I'll get back in the zone reasonably quickly.
